Hand on Ram

This sculpture is part of The J. F. Archibald Memorial Fountain.

The person in this photo is (from my understanding) meant to represent Pan, but it could instead be Aristaios. There’s conflicting information so I’m going to check out the plaques the next time I’m there and edit this if necessary.

I was trying to capture something akin to a sense of power or aggression when I took this photo. Not sure if I was successful, but I’m happy with how the contrast in shades came through, as well as how the shades help to highlight details of the sculpture.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
