As far as I am away this is an Australian raven. Not entirely certain, but still pretty certain.
I took this photo last year and forgot about it which is a shame as I feel that this is a good photo. I’ve probably taken better, but I really like how this one turned out.
I feel as though the raven feels very still and almost awkward, though it is not. It is graceful in its moment before taking off.
This is my submission into the one hundred-and-forty-fourth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Taking Flight”
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This week’s challenge is curated by Tina. Next week Priscilla of Scilliagrace is guest-curating.
The challenges are pretty fun and there’s a lot of room for interpretation that doesn’t get in the way of enjoyment. If you’re into photography, then I suggest participating, or at the least checking out what other people are submitting.
I hope you enjoy.
He looks very much like a jet about to take off Brian – terrific timing on that one!

Thank you, but I’m still unsure as to whom Brian is.

A stilled moment … movement stilled… a unique image that most likely will never be repeated

Thank you.
Certainly worth trying again though. See how much I can improve on the shot.

Great capture! And a red car, the epitome of fastness!

They do say red vehicles go faster.
