Shifting Mouldscape

This was started and finished today.
I sat down thinking I’d work on this for only two hours.
Ended up being around four-and-a-half as there was a lot of cleaning up of the shapes.

This is based on a photo I took of some of the mould caused by water damage where I live. I was trying to get a photo of the mould that would work as album art. What I took would work if everything was in focus so I might retake those photos again.

This was in part an attempt to work with viewing angle and it kind of worked. I think if I’d clearly marked them out it would be better, but at the same time I feel like that would be insulting to anyone viewing.

The title comes from an idea of the mould moving toward a point where it would then start rising. I imagine the movement would be similar to the way cloud shadows moves.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!

Interesting. I like as is, but I know you must have a vision of what you want to work.
