Pushy Bus People

On Wednesday afternoon i was on the bus to central in order to get to work.

I was heading from university, so there were a bunch of other students on the bus.

Surprising I know.

So anyway, I was on the bus, the bus reached Central, it stopped and opened the doors. I couldn’t move form my seat as there were people standing in the way.

The kid next to me got up and said “excuse me”.

Fair if I was just sitting there, not doing anything whilst there was space to move.

I told him that I was getting off too and there was no room to move.

I shouldn’t have had to have said that, but apparently some people don;t know how to use their eyes and connect what their seeing with a series of thoughts.

Some space cleared and so I get up and start slowly shuffling my way off the bus. The kid then pushed me.

I turned around and told him to be patient.

The bus then closed its doors as it had to move forward a few metres before continuing to let us off.

Once the doors were open again, some more moving occurred and once again this kid pushed me.

I was considering turning around and having a go at him, but I didn’t as it would have probably been a stupid thing to do, as well as a waste of time.

Once he was off, the kid ran to whichever platform he needed to be on in order to catch his train. At least, that’s what I’m guessing he was running for.

The thing that really pisses me off is that he, like many other people out there, seem to think that it is okay to be pushy and impatient with other people whilst on a bus. Other people could not move as fast as he wanted, so instead of waiting, like everyone else, he decided that it would be best to try and force his way through, which failed.

It’s shitty behaviour.

Why can’t people show a bit more patience? I’d understand if people were really taking their time for no reason, but no one is more important than anyone else when it comes to these situations.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 403: Dragging on

So I’m sitting here, killing time until the end of my shift.

It has been a most interesting day.

I keep on sitting here, taking calls as the day slowly progress toward tomorrow.

Soon I will be heading home and I will walk into the night, catch a train, then walk a bit more, for I will be away from home, but it is still a home in a sense.

A weird day indeed.

Some interesting customers, some angry customers, some happy customers, and some customer customers.

When will this eternal shift end?

It’s really dragging on and now I’m just writing as I haven’t written much today and it makes me feel somewhat uncomfortable and that’s never a good thing, unless it is.

I don’t really know as to what I am going on about with this one. I had other things to say. Well, I think I had other things to say.

There’s always tomorrow for writing about the other things that there are, in which other things that there are that can be said will be said in a roundabout fashion until I run out of space and ideas.

Oh wait, I do have ideas. Why am I not writing about those instead of this?

I don’t know. It is a long night at work tonight. I am sitting here, waiting for the shift to end. Soon it will come to an end and I will be able to go to where I may need to roam for the evening.

Soon there will be a bit more freedom in my step than there was earlier.

Soon.

It is dark outside and yet the night still feels young to some extent that is beyond my complete knowing.

Soon I will be out of the building and into the air of the evening.

Soon there will be some sort of rejoicing as I power my way to the train station in order to get the earliest train that I can get for the evening.

Soon I will be resting, as it is very much needed at this point, as I am feeling quite exhausted and need to go to bed early in order tor est much more than I have on previous nights.

Soon I will be dreaming about things that run through my mind as it runs free in whatever it runs free.

Soon I will write something that makes sense.

It will be a long time before I write something that is worth the attention that you may pay.

Well, we;re nearly here, so I will keep racing to the bottom until I hit the surface.

It will not be long now.

Still, with that being said, it may be far longer than I could ever anticipate.

There is always an element of anticipation, althoguh there actually isn’t, so there you go.

I think I just need a fair bit of sleep at the moment, as I’m running out of steam and soon the steam will stop.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:54:77

Well, it is kind of interesting as to how this kind of became poetic.

Written at work.

Between a Tent and Chimneys

This was taken shortly before this photo was taken, and I’m not sure as to why I waited so long to put it up here.

Well, it kind of paid off as the theme or The Daily Post‘s photo challenge this week is “Rise/Set“.

Whilst it’s not balanced, I do like how I managed to frame this photo.

I like how the colour and different cloud types interact with each other, as well as how the light is spread throughout the photo.

I hope you enjoy.

Rounded Tower

Another photo taken the other day whilst walking around Alexandria.

I think that it is interesting that, due to how the building has been designed, it has the appearance of being round in a smooth way when it is not smooth.

I think that the light reflects well off the windows (for the most part) and gives a good light gradient over the surface of the building.

I do like how it also appears to give a sense of foreboding.

This is my entry into Leanne Cole‘s Monochrome Madness for this week.

I recommend checking it out and considering submitting if you are a photographer.
It’s a fun event driven both by Leanne Cole and the small community that participates.

I also recommend that you check out Leanne Cole‘s work outside of Monochrome Madness.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 402: Climb up its Side

There is a single light illuminating my typing space at the moment, and to be honest, I am fine with this being the case, as it seems to give me a little more focus on what I am doing.

Soon, soon all my plans will come to fruition and I will be free from the tyranny of whatever it is that terrorizes my heart at night and keeps me awake, screaming into the darkness that surrounds.

Well, that was a little dark.

Perhaps it is due to… I don’t know.

However, I don’t know.

With that being said, I do know that I don’t know.

Now, with that out of the way, I can get back to discussing my thoughts on global domination as I prepare to trundle on down to the park and scale a mountain so big, that not even a large pastry could form a definitive ring around its hubris.

At least, that is what I think, anyway.

I will climb up its side over a period of many days and perhaps even weeks. There shall be the passing of the clouds as they almost seem to descend around me as I keep going up in the search of the peak, which hopefully is something that I would not have passed.

The birds would seem to compress the higher I go, even though the pressure is decreasing (I think), and yet this would not bother me at all, for there are goals for which I have to achieve and in only climbing upward can I achieve those goals.

Soon I would be where I wanted to be and I would rest on the top. I would sit there and ruminate on all that has carried me tow here I was then located. There would be much thought and much silence, for I needed to do some serious thinking and only as far from all I could be whilst being on earth would I be able to sit and have a good, long think about where I was and who I was.

Of course, there would come a time where I would have to begin making my way down. It would probably be some time in the afternoon. Perhaps the following day. I do not know as of yet, for the time has not come. However, it would come and the journey down would be as arduous as it would be safe.

That is to say, somewhat.

However, it would not be the longest journey that I have had to take in my life and it would not take up all of the day in which the journey begun. Merely a portion of the day.

Once down, I of course would exit the park and go back to where I was before all of this ordeal began and then that would be the end of it all, for the time being.

There would be another time for more adventuring, but that time would have to wait a while.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:47:96

I think that this has a really good flow, but suffers in the quality.

It rambles a bit too much and could be more concise, but it is fairly smooth.

I think.

Flying Time

Two birds.

One in flight, one about to take off (if I remember correctly).

The corella on the right almost seems to be hanging there in the air whilst the one on the left seems to be posing.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 401: Something Photography-related

A sunny, cold day outside and I am inside in a warm room, getting ready for the day that will be filled with the working and the talking and the clicking of the keys as I mercilessly bang upon them in order to get notes written that will then sit on orders.

Then it will be about 8 hours of heavy writing in order to get an essay written. It is an essay that I should have stated weeks ago, but once again I’ve fallen into the same trap that I always set myself and so I will be rushing toward the end in order to get it completed, lest I don’t hand it in and then fail completely.

Well, fail that assignment, at least.

I have a banana on my desk and soon it shall be consumed, therefore giving me delicious nutrients.

I am sitting here wearing a yellow shirt and I have nothing to write about, but at least I am here and coherent and doing things, such as warming up my fingers for a day of busy work and busier working.

I soon shall have a new camera body and therefore the quality of the images that will be taken in the forms of photos with this new camera shall increase.

Well, the quality of the images themselves. Not the quality of photography, if you catch my drift.

I think that makes sense. I think.

Anyway, this yea is going to be a big year. This year I am making the push into professional photography. It is a cutthroat industry, but my hopes are that I will be able to get something resembling a steady flow of work and hopefully it means that the pressure of needing to work all the time will be reduced. That is the hope.

I know that there will be a lot of things that I will have to photograph that I do not want to photograph, but you don’t do work in something because you want to do what you want to do (or you do), but I’m not overly fussed on this one as, well… see reason above.

Hopefully if I apply myself hard enough this will lead to something. Hopefully.

It may be difficult, but this is a mountain that I want to climb.

I just need to make sure that I continue to climb it and don’t look back unless it is absolutely necessary.

For the time being, I sit at work and bide my time and make sure that I am doing my job to the best of my ability in order to make sure that everyone is as satisfied as they can be in any given situation.

There is a lot resting on my shoulders, but customer service needs to be dealt with a hefty blow from an ironclad fist and I must be the one dealing the strikes.

Well, I  think that is enough rambling for the day. Time to prepare for some strong, flexible work.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 06:11:81

Hmm.

This one is really simple. Feels small.

A bit more sensible.

Light Construction

This one was taken yesterday whilst walking around Alexandria.

I think that this will be office space, but only time will reveal what this construction becomes.

I like the scaffolding pattern, as well as how the two cranes seem to sit on top of everything.

The image may be a little too dark, but I think that it brings out some of the angles and lines of the construction.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 400: A Little all Over the Place

I really want the whatever the things are taken down from the windows of the computer lab so that there’s a bit more natural light in here, but I don’t think it is going to happen as I think that they’re up there in order to block out some of the sound, as well as stop any dust and other bits of unwanted construction refuse from getting in.

We’re not dealing with ephemera here. We’re dealing with the problems of a society that is developing, and by society I mean construction of a building in order to compliment the other building that was recently constructed (and still seems to be getting built).

Actually, I don’t know what I’m going on about, but that’s not different from usual, so there you go.

I’m sitting here, writing of course and I’m trying to think about an assignment that I need to get working on as it is due in a couple of days.

I really should get that started sooner rather than later.

I should, but of course I will probably procrastinate until the last minute of the day as that is the way I go about these things.

I’m also trying to write a review of an E.P. that I recently acquired as it is something that I should review as it is newer than other things that I have acquired.

Such is the thing of ways.

Or is it… the way of ways?

Not important right now.

What is important is that I get back to getting on with my life and progressing my research into the assignment that I must do in order to make sure that I get a good grade for the subject in order to further my studies as well as my study opportunities.

That is what I believe, anyway.

I do think that I will get it done sooner rather than later. However, I am hoping that work is a little quiet so I can get much more done sooner.

That way I have a bit more of a leg up than had I not studied more… or something.

I really don’t know as to what I’m going on about at this point, so from here on, the rest of the post will be about something else… or not.

There is liberal use of ellipses as this point, I can tell you that much.

I think that today my mind is a little all over the place, as evidenced in this writing, and that is not conducive to getting anything done.

Still, I must persist as so long as I can get stuff done before the end of the day, then I can say that this was not a waste of a day.

That is what I want to say and hopefully I will get enough done in order to be able to say that.

Either that or I’ll just continue to… Oh, that’s right. I was meant to write about a failed price beat.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:33:28

Well, I don’t think that that was too bad an effort, but it was quite scattered.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 399: Our Protagonist Faced with a Riddle

Feeble flying leads to fickle frays into the foraying of the life that needs to drink the boot on a hemlock of mildew.

There was always a way around and there was always an alternative, but our protagonist could not see the way forward without trying to decipher the riddle that had so plainly lay itself in front of them.

Indeed, it was a conundrum that needed to be solved in order to get around all that was and all that will be, but despite there being a way around, the protagonist could not see it, for they were blinded by fatigue and indifference.

Still, there must’ve been a solution to this riddle that they could have found themselves.

The stretched away from the torches that lit the way in front of them and reached into the darkness that the light did not reach, looking for something that would allow some sort of way forward.

After much searching with their hand, they finally felt an object that fit well in their palm.

It was spherical and smooth. Not hard, but certainly had a solidarity to its body.

Pulling the object from the confines of the darkness, the protagonist found themselves holding a cricket ball, but without the stitching.

Back into the darkness it went, and with that the darkness was swept away faster than could be comprehended and the area was illuminated.

Surrounding the protagonist was nothingness as they hurtled toward some destination that was unknown and unknowable, yet there was no feel of force or resistance against the fall, letting it continue unabated.

The protagonist was not too sure as to what they should make of this situation as it was one quite curious to them, being something that they do not usually experience.

However, it was one that needed to end as quickly as possible, lest the danger of the unknown come and grasp them within it’s incomprehensible hands, squeezing all forms of life out of our protagonist of this story.

There seemed to be no such solution other than to solve the riddle. However, the solution was not apparent, as it was nonsense masquerading as something far more intelligent than it would ever hope to be, and this was something that our protagonist was not able to understand.

Try as they might, the solution was not found and all hope seemed lost.

All of a sudden, the author in question got tired of the bit they were writing and decided to remove our protagonist from the situation and put them somewhere a bit more comfortable. Probably in a house somewhere, with a nice view of the ocean whilst being far from a cliff edge.

It was much safer that way.

Our protagonist, relieved that their situation had changed, decided to make themselves a cup of tea, get a good book and sit outside on their front veranda in order to enjoy some quality reading time, content that the book  they were reading was of a high quality.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 07:26:41

Whilst writing this I hit a wall so I decided to abandon it at the end and put in a happy ending for no reason.

It’s okay.
