Whilst processing this photo I tried to go for a look of impressionism.
I think it almost worked.
I like how the clouds turned out, how they work with the light and how this section of Anzac Bridge is, aside from three lights, is in complete silhouette.
I also like the angle of the bridge in this shot.. It almost feels like it is in the sky.

It’s a dark and kind of warm night, at least in my bedroom as the rest of the house is at a cooler temperature, which makes me want to be outside of my room. However, that would mean moving far too many things than I can be bothered moving just to be able to get things done whilst out there so I think I will just deal with the heat that I’m currently experiencing because there’s significantly worse things that could be happening and I’d rather no whinge about the heat again as I’ve done that far too recently to consider it something I can warrant doing again right now, although there are other things that I would happily rant about, such as the protesting of Donald Trump that is going on at the moment but that wouldn’t be much fun and, quite frankly, I can’t be bothered writing about it at this present point in time as I’m a bit more tired than I probably should be and just want to relax a bit instead of typing away even though right now typing away is what I’m doing because I’m in a state of mind where, whilst I want to relax, I’m also driven to write whatever I can and let my mind flow through my hands and against the keyboard to get some sort of dialogue out that confirms that it is indeed thinking about things, despite the text not necessarily indicating what those things would be as it’s thinking more about hard, serious things and whilst some of what I am writing at this present time could be taken as serious, I’m fairly certain that most of it won’t be but I won’t know unless I go back and read it which is something that I’m quite probably not willing to do as I would probably start going over it a little too thoroughly and there’s more important things to do, such as finish writing what I am writing and then get to something else that would probably make for a more interesting read (I hope) as it would involve something a bit more imaginative than an exercise in testing one’s patience with lengthy, ongoing pointless structure when using full stops with greater frequency would suffice and probably be far more appropriate for reading and structure than continuing what I am doing now, although this feels right somehow so I’m going to stick with it until I run out of words to write or I hit the limit of this challenge which will be the tried-and-true five-hundred words as quickly as I possibly can or until I punch through a wall and get to the other side which would allow me to try other things despite the fact that I can try many new things now but seemingly don’t want to due to reasons that I can’t go into right now as they don’t exist as of yet, but that’s something to worry about at another time.

I overexposed and liked the result so I decided to share it.
To me it feels a bit washed out and colourless, but at the same time it doesn’t.
I’ll probably retake the shot of this side of the cathedral some time in the future as I think I can get a better photo.

Today it’s Saturday.
That’s pretty much all that I have to say, but I’m sure I could make up something else that would help drive this writing along.
Once again (and probably to no one’s surprise at this stage), I have found myself not writing as much as I’ve wanted to due to many factors that involve being lazy, so here I am belting something out that can be read and you get the gist.
I’m at work, it’s slightly quiet and soon I finish for the day. However, that doesn’t mean that I can’t knock something out within the remaining time I have.
Perhaps I could knock out many things…
Perhaps I could make a great sculpture that would be appreciated by everyone who would rest their tired, weary eyes upon it and this sculpture would automatically invigorate their being, thus providing the energy that they need to keep on powering on and doing great, productive things in order to better themselves and their environment.
Perhaps I should try and remain grounded in reality today, for there’s a lot of reality to be conquered before I can continue on my amazing quest to be the best of something and then live in imagination land for far longer than I have any right to.
Perhaps I should focus on doing my job right now, making sure that I assist customers to the best of my ability and make sure that they finish the call feeling happier than when they started.
There are lofty goals being discussed here, but I do sincerely hope that they can be attained. In fact, I’m certain that they can be attained if I just keep on pushing on and so on.
After work I shall be going to the Royal Botanic Garden to take photos and go for a walk (and not necessarily in that order). It’s been a while since I was last there and I want to take a few photos of flowers whilst I am there and try to capture them in a way that I have not done so before.
Of course I’m not going to try and force the idea of taking the photos in a different manner. I’ll try and see if it happens naturally as I think that would end up paying off more for me today. I think that if I were to force trying to take photos differently today, then I may end up with results that I’m not too happy with.
Of course I’m just making up excuses, but I shall stick to them! Maybe. I don’t know.
Anyway, I’ll be heading there, taking photos, going for a wander and appreciating the little pocket of nature that will surround my being.
It’ll be a great way to relax today. I’m looking forward to it much more than I probably should, but at the same time that’s not a bad thing.
I’ve only my wide angle, but I’m sure I’ll get some interesting shots with it.

Here’s two photos that I took last week whilst I was in the city on Tuesday.
I was taking test shots when I saw the two cleaners, so I decided to take photos of them as I thought the perspective would be interesting.
I still think it is. They look very small when against the building which, whilst tall, is not as tall as it appears to be.
The act of cleaning windows on buildings is “Graceful” in its own way.
Moving up and down, pausing for brief periods before moving again, etc. etc.

Before anyone jumps the gun, I think that Rouge Juan is a better title than Rogue One. It might not have been as fitting (strict might there), but it has an air of romanticism and adventure that draws you in. Rogue One sounds uninspired, bland and flat.
Anyway…
Actually, before I start I’m going to use the phrase “spoiler warning” to indicate that there may be spoilers.
Spoiler warning: There may be spoilers.
There may also be swearing.
Rogue One is about the stealing of the design document of the Death Star which are stupidly kept intact in one location instead of spread out among a bunch of different places, leaving one to wonder if the Galactic Empire were asking for their demise.
The plot follows a bunch of people that have no character development (which is fine), unless it’s so subtle that a stationary brick moves more overtly.
Along the way there’s FAN SERVICE and some plot.
Characters are mostly there to spit out lines and stand around. Sometimes they’ll do something like say “I’m done running”, then commit suicide instead of doing something better, like aid the main characters as much as possible.
The best character in the film by far is not Darth Vader. Who gives a flying shit if Darth fucking Vader is in the film? He doesn’t have much relevance and is there to force in more FAN SERVICE with as much success as putting a square peg in a circular hole. It has no real place in the film.
It’s the Mon Calamari admiral by far. He doesn’t fuck around, doesn’t like fucking around and is the only one who gives enough of a shit to go and help out the main characters (and their swarthy band of associates) because he knows that there’s shit that needs to be done and, no matter the chances, it’s better to fight than give in because there is still a chance to succeed.
Being a proactive character despite the odds is far more worthy of respect than something that has been beating us over the heads for a long time.
Too much of the Rebel Alliance is full of gutless idiots.
To be fair to this film, a lot of the scenes are decent. The problem is that as a whole, they don’t quite feel like they work.
The tone is far more uneven than it should be. Some things that should be threats are easy enough to take down and the mood bounces around between grim and light-hearted.
The pacing is mostly alright until near the last fifteen minutes, when the film decides to throw more at you than it had previously done so.
After seeing Rogue One I didn’t care who Jyn Erso was. I didn’t care who any of the main characters were. I didn’t care that they died or that they obtained the design document for the Death Star. It was expected and because there was no real reason to like them beyond “we’re stealing the plans”, they are ultimately forgettable.
You don’t have to like any character in a film, but they should at least have something that makes them worth having in the film. Saying lines and following direction is not enough.
I cared who the Mon Calamari admiral was.
Also Disney, come talk to me when you make the main character a black female or Icelandic. Until then, stop trying to pretend that you give a shit about diversity.
I don’t care if that sounds cynical. I don’t care what gender or nationality the actors are. I care about whether they do a good job or not and here they haven’t done much of a good job.
Despite all this ranting, the film was alright. Not good. Just alright.
Oh. The robot was somewhat cool.

I like that the apartments almost look to be looking down upon where the photo is being taken.
I also like that they sit in front of the sky instead of looking like they’re flat.
