Here’s a few photos I took whilst I was at the Atomic Bomb Dome (actually called the Hiroshima Peace Memorial) in Hiroshima.
The site represents a lot of things for a lot of people.
Probably the most common would be that the past shouldn’t be forgotten.
The monochrome one is my forty-second submission for Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness“.
I hope you enjoy.

No worries.
Although, I don’t think that “I hope you enjoy” is entirely appropriate here.

Well, there’s always the aspect of the definition that means “to appreciate.” And I certainly appreciate what you’ve shared here.

I am one who studies the past so we don’t forget primarily so we don’t make the same mistake twice…unfortunately all humans don’t.
The second color image is eerily beautiful. I would love to see it in black and white as well. I think it would really resonate in monochrome.

Perhaps one day things will be different.
We can only hope and work towards such a thing.
I see what you mean, but I don’t think I want to do an alteration to it.
I can send you the full-size one if you like though if you want to.

Oh no! It’s your vision and photo. I only suggest another option that might resonate with you as I think it would with me. I don’t want to tinker with your image! Art, and photographs are subjective. What I think and feel seeing your images are my feelings. You show and present your vision. If I don’t quite get what you’re trying to say today…don’t worry I may tomorrow. “)
Since I was commenting and often speak what’s on my mind thought I’d suggest trying that image in black and white too. If you don’t feel it…it’s okay! I get it! I really do! I’ve been there too!

My vision? Haha!
Whilst I have my views on my photos, I welcome interpretation.
I’m not necessarily trying to say anything with this one as when I was there, seeing it, I didn’t really feel anything.
I wanted to share the monochrome shot for “Monochrome Madness” for a while, but I thought that only using a monochromatic shot would not cover the thing entirely as there are many ways it can be seen, really, as is the way with many things.
Whilst I didn’t feel anything, I still wanted to be respectful somehow.
Also, I think art can be seen objectively at times. I don’t know why I said that; I just think it can be.
If you change your mind, more than happy to send it through.
Part of the reason why I don’t want do it is, despite knowing how, I don’t really like altering photos unless I can turn it into something else.
