About a month ago whilst walking to a train station I took this photo.
There were a few things I found appealing about it:
The low water level revealing a lot of the constructed riverbank bank and bed.
The rubbish that ends up in The Cooks River being apparent, yet somewhat-ambiguous.
The strong reflection on parts of the water.
The ibes feeding.
The way the light is cast on the area.
The great amount of vegetation in the area obscuring some of the more urban elements.
This is my submission into the seventieth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Monochrome“.
