This shot was taken a few minutes after this one.
I’m happy with the composition, but I didn’t readjust the focus as for some reason I didn’t think about doing so, hence the blurriness of the land.
I think this photo gives a good idea of light pollution in this area. It’s a populous region, though nowhere near as much as areas a small amount of km closer to the city, but there’s still a fair bit of light hitting the sky.
Outside of that issue, I do like the massiveness of the clouds, and how that massiveness carries through in comparison to the land underneath.
I also like how there’s two layers of clouds here. They were moving in different directions due to the air currents moving in different directions. It was pleasant to witness.
This is my submission into the ninetieth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Distance“.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This one is hosted by Tina. The next will be hosted by Patti.
I recommend giving the challenges a go and seeing how you interpret each theme. I also recommend checking out what other people are doing to meet the challenges.
I hope you enjoy.

Amazing clouds SH, the land doesn’t take away from the stunning sky

Glad you think so. I still think I should’ve refocused 🙂
