I don’t feel as though I got good shots of Zia McCabe when The Dandy Warhols were here last year. I missed a few opportunities so I did the best I could with what I ended up with.

I think this is the best shot I got of Zia as it’s the most balanced light-wise.

I do like that this shot doesn’t quite feel like a gig photo. It shows someone smiling, looking rather happy, but as there’s a synthesiser in the way you can’t if anything is happening. Zia could be standing there doing nothing; she could be playing the synthesiser. Maybe a tambourine instead.
