This is a different version of this photo.
When I was processing I went for a few different monochromatic versions.
The previously-shared version and this one were the strongest produced.
I didn’t want to share the two images together, mostly due to wanting them to appear sort of “away” from each other, if that makes sense. Perhaps I should have, but I didn’t.
I like how this version of the photo is much more of moody and atmospheric piece. There’s something grim about it that I find appealing.
The Ibis remains an ibis, but with its form and it now being in silhouette, it seems so much more like a heavy and perhaps mysterious presence than it does an ibis.
This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness” for this week.
I suggest checking out Leanne’s photography, as well as checking out what other people submit.
A lot of what people are submitting will likely end up here.
I hope you enjoy.
