ConcernedApe: Mines (Visitor To The Unknown)

This was written over two listens.
I went into this sort of expecting the song’s first part to be different and in a way it threw me off. I also spent too much time thinking about what I was writing instead of writing. Not the best combo.

ConcernedApe’s “Mines (Visitor To The Unknown)” is from Stardew Valley’s soundtrack, Stardew Valley OST.

I hope you enjoy.

A sound gradually fades to view, then a short percussive roll invites more sounds to join. It then remains steady whilst various shining and twinkling in the dark fills a space. Bass moves with careful steps and allows space where it can to proceed carefully. In all the space a deepness comes forward, and it’s almost all exists in a place that has not seen visitors in a long time.

Something akin to woodwind finds itself joining the sounds and soon they all reach a harmonic moment. After the moment the bass and percussion lock in place and form a continuous rhythm. More mystery comes forward from the heave and the shining and twinkling and shimmering is freed to find more space whilst woodwind looks and searches for something.

Eventually all fade away and the song ends.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
