Some of Born of Osiris

Posted on November 22, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

As opposed to all, or one, or none. It’s probably quite evident that, what with my regular sharing of gig photos of past gigs that I miss gig photography. Hopefully that will be something happening again as of some point … Continue reading →

A Pocket of The Hawkesbury River

Posted on November 21, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

Some of The Hawkesbury River on an overcast day. I feel like this particular part looks rather enclosed, which it is not. Despite appearances, this is not enclosed at the far end. I like the peace of this photo, as … Continue reading →

Some Development

Posted on November 20, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

A view I saw and subsequently took a photo of whilst walking from Cowan to Brooklyn. This feels both like an open and closed scene. Open due to the amount of space in the shot and closed due to the … Continue reading →

Concentrated Ripples

Posted on November 19, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

Whilst taking photos at Cowan Creek I saw ripples forming in specific places on the water’s surface. They would appear and stay around for only brief periods. I suspect there was some sort of creature (or creatures) either feeding or … Continue reading →

Green Scream

Posted on November 18, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

Maybe it’s more of a growl. In this photo is the frontman of Bongzilla doing the vocal thing whilst playing guitar. I think it’s nice to see that the frontman doesn’t look like he’s struggling at all, and now that … Continue reading →

Posted on November 16, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

This is the vocalist of Diamond Construct. I think this is an alright shot. I think the light is balanced really well and you get a good idea of the power going into the vocals here. I like the shot. … Continue reading →

Sign on a Pole

Posted on November 15, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

I took this photo with the intention of framing the scene in a specific way and I’m fairly certain that I did not succeed. What this turned out to be was a simple scene showing an urban area with a … Continue reading →

Two Synths, One Vocal

Posted on November 13, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

Leon De Baughn of Crooked Colours this time (Culture Eater gallery and review here and here). I like that there’s a depiction of multi-tasking in the shot, and I also like that it feels almost too dramatic, though that comes … Continue reading →

Kind of Blending in

Posted on November 12, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

I know very little about the behaviour of Intellagama lesueurii lesueurii. I’d like to believe that they do prefer environments and surfaces in which they can blend in due to making it easy to escape predators and hunt prey. I … Continue reading →

Transferring Voice

Posted on November 11, 2020 by Stupidity Hole

This is the vocalist from Above, Below (here’s a photo of the band). This was captured when they were supporting Born of Osiris and Chelsea Grin at The Bald Faced Stag last year (gallery here and review here). Not much … Continue reading →
