Ex Update

If anyone is wondering about my post from last night, I’ll probably explain it next week.

I haven’t made much mention of my ex recently so I thought I’d do that now, just as a full update.

We’re still in contact with each other.

I still miss her.

I asked her a few weeks back if she missed me, to which she replied that she did.

I was fairly happy about that. To me, it’s a good sign.

Talk has generally been of a close nature.

Still all messaging. Whilst I’d prefer to talk vocally, she has said she’s not ready, so I can wait.

She’s gotten me back into playing around with Paint a lot more than I used to.

I did start mucking around with it again a few months ago, but it was far less frequent than it is now.

I’m mostly doing things that will hopefully make her smile or laugh. So far I seem to have been doing a good job.

However, whilst things seem positive, I still have no idea what’s going on.

When there’s communication, it’s great. Everything clicks.
I feel a sense of elevated happiness that not much else provides.

Communication seems to have become random though. Admittedly, I can’t hold this against her as I am not her life, but I still find it odd.

I want to be able to tell her a lot of what I feel yet I still can’t. It’s frustrating at times.

I really want to be able to tell her that whilst I can’t promise an easy life, I can always be there for her and always be by her side, regardless of what happens.

I can’t say that yet either.

It’s still a delicate situation.

I have high hopes still though.

Apologies for the angst.

A small part of Sydney Harbour

I took this photo when I was cycling across Sydney Harbour Bridge to get home on Tuesday.

Admittedly it is nothing original. However, I like it quite a lot.

I particularly like how the sunlight is different based on whether it’s coming through the clouds or on the water.

The hideous building is called Blues Point Tower and Goat Island is to the left of the sunlight on the water.

Well, enjoy.

An Embarrassing Thing I Found

I was clearing out my emails at work to free up space today when I came across this. It’s so embarrassing and stupid that it would be a shame not to share it.

I have no idea as to how old it is.

I have no idea what it’s for or why I wrote it.

I do find it hilarious though.

Here it is, unedited (aside from removing my name).

Enjoy.

I’m __________!

Many people know me as a lover of customer service. Anything a customer asks me is a new and exciting challenge.

Some things I enjoy are walks through parks, walks on beaches and walks through suburbs. And walks through the bush. To many of my friends, I am considered as one who walks alot.

Another thing I enjoy is making music. Nowdays I’m working on an album. It’s hard work, but if I persevere, I will succeed.

Sometimes I get a bit of writers block, but sometimes it flows through me easily.

Tons of new ideas come through me when the block isn’t there!

More General Miscellany

Work has been alright. Had a formal meeting. Didn’t get fired.

Foot is getting better. Probably not a good idea to cycle on it at the moment but I enjoy cycling to the point where I will not rest when I should.

I cycled around a bay near my place yesterday. It’s always a nice bay to cycle around as the track is relatively easy and smooth. Also quite scenic.

Haven’t had a decent sleep over the past few weeks. It might have something to do with my growing sugar addiction. I’m also thinking it might be a good idea to go to sleep earlier in the evening than usual.

My lack of sleep has affected my ability to play music.

I’ve been gaming a lot to kill time.

Two of my friends were up for a wedding reception over the weekend. They stayed at my place. We went for a decent breakfast on Saturday with Ewe, Si and Anna.

We also had shisha. I had a bit too much and ended up feeling quite ill for a while. Such is the way of things.

It was still a fun time.

I had dinner with Ili last night and we also watched City Hunter, starring Jackie Chan. I recommend seeing it. It is, in my opinion, quite good.

My throat is sore. Keeping my fluids up but the pain remains. Urgh.

Maybe it has something to do with the shisha.

Yesterday, my washable doona broke in the wash. Had to run around looking for another one. Was able to pick up a king size for a low price and had to cycle home with it. That was not fun.

It’s only a temporary solution (as it’s far too big for my bed). Planning on buying a double in a couple of weeks.

On the way home I cycled across Sydney Harbour bridge and Anzac bridge. I’m going to be sore tomorrow.

It was certainly worth it though.

The day is over, thankfully. It’s been a long stretch.

Now time to attempt sleeping.

A Spider caught by a Spider

I’m home sick today, so I thought I’d put up a few photos I took last week.
I’ll probably have some verbal spew typed up later this afternoon, but for now you all get this.

When I came home from work on Monday last week, I went to draw the curtains back at the back door and saw this.

I think the spider that caught the other spider is a daddy long-legs AKA a cellar spider.

I couldn’t help but take the opportunity to get pictures.

My apologies for the low quality and to anyone with arachnophobia.

How I Damaged my Left Foot

In March this year I was cycling down Abercrombie street after finishing up at uni for the day.

I was crossing Parramatta road at a speed between twenty to thirty kilometres when I changed my gear.

The chain came off as I pushed down on my left pedal. My foot left the pedal and decided to meet the road, big toe first.

I got off the road as quickly as I could. It was quite painful and my toe was swelling quickly.

In a decision influenced by my vast intelligence, I hopped back onto my bike and headed to Broadway shopping centre to pick up a game, then cycled home instead of heading straight home to rest.

I had to take the following day off as I couldn’t walk.

Luckily enough I didn’t break my foot, but it took a while before I was able to walk on it for more than short periods as I managed to damage most of it.

I do have some trouble on occasion still, but that is to be expected.

On Thursday last week I had cycled to Wynyard station.

After getting my tickets I made a dash for my train.

As I was running up the stairs to the platform, I managed to drive my left foot into a step instead of onto it, big toe first.

I managed to not fall over and apart from a stumble, I was able to keep my run going and reached my train.

It would not have been very pretty had I fallen as my bike is fairly heavy and I was moving fast.

Managed to avoid breaking anything again and it didn’t hurt nearly as much as the first time, but it has still caused some slight trouble with walking.

Oh well. So long as I take care of it, I should be fine.

It’s funny in a way. The first time was with me on my bike and the second time was with my bike on me.

Hopefully it doesn’t go full circle.

Morning Fog

There was a fairly thick fog this morning.

I decided to take this picture because I liked the view and also because I liked the juxtaposition it creates with the same location during sunset.

It’s kind of more unknown and relaxing,  yet moody and bleak.

I think.

Well, enjoy.

Me with a Chicken on my Head

This was taken earlier this year by Naa.

I was in Canberra with my ex around the time of my birthday because it had been a while since we’d seen Naa and I preferred that over throwing a massive party.

We were exploring a market and found this hat, replete with chook.

I gave the blank stare because I thought it would be more ridiculous.

Anyway, enjoy.

Self-inflicted Illness is a Wonderful thing

On Sunday I ate late and poorly.

I had two thirds of a loaf of bread and a lot of cream cheese. I have no excuse for this.

A bit later on in the day I had two lemon & ginger teas. I started to get some slight stomach pains but was alright for the most part.

Eventually I had to start going to the bathroom a bit. I assumed it was because of the bread.

Throughout the day I had been working on music. After I finished recording bass, things got worse.

Whilst playing, I felt the bass vibrate against my body more than usual. I’m assuming my stomach was a bit sensitive at this stage as I wasn’t playing loudly.

Once the bass was done, I’d finished the instrumentals for the song I was working on, so I got Ewe and Si to come around to give me their opinion.

They enjoyed it.

Ewe left after the song. Si stayed for two more.

I ran for the bathroom as I had to go again.

I was sitting on the toilet when I suddenly felt something coming.

I went for the large sink in the bathroom (we have two) and started throwing up.

It was early on but I decided to go to bed and sleep.

I threw up three more times before sleep was had.

Whilst this was happening, I started feeling down. I realised just how much I missed my ex. She would’ve been there keeping me relaxed and making sure I was okay.

Oh well.

I spent Monday and Tuesday feeling quite ill and dehydrated.

What fun!

On the plus side, throwing up gave me the title for the song I was working on: Purge.
