Blur in Movement

Posted on June 3, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

This is part of a band I recently photographed. The room’s lighting was quite decent and so I was able to take advantage of it to what I feel was great effect, such as in the photo below. This is … Continue reading →

Lively Drumming

Posted on May 9, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

This is Shonen Knife’s drummer doing the drumming thing, which I believe is known as “drumming”. I thought I’d shared this photo here but it appears I did not so I’m sharing it now as I really like it. It … Continue reading →

Raised in Celebration

Posted on May 7, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

This is one of the members of Shonen Knife. Here’s a photo of all three members, but this one is just one. Not sure why I wrote that. Anyway, this is just a nice moment, I think. A fun band … Continue reading →

Microphone Moment

Posted on April 24, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

A recent gig photo. This one mostly came through in processing. How it was originally was fine, but I decided to push it as I thought the photo would work with stronger contrasts. I think the result is much moodier, … Continue reading →

Posted on April 21, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

This is a gig photo and there are performers in this photo. I was playing around with dragging the shutter, ended up with this. There are better results, but I like how this one turned out. Almost looks like an … Continue reading →

Three Form One Sound

Posted on March 1, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

Here’s a photo of Shonen Knife doing their thing. Doesn’t quite highlight it well, but I think it’s a photo that shows them having fun, at the least. This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness” for this week. Participating … Continue reading →

A Voice in Shadow

Posted on February 18, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

Another photo of a member from the band Sorry. When I was photographing the band I was trying to get a lot of moody shots, and this one turned out well. There are some parts of it I wish were … Continue reading →

Looking at the Bass

Posted on February 8, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

This is the bass player for an artist whose name eludes me right now. I should look up whom, but that may have to wait for another day. So I took this photo and, whilst I wish I had more … Continue reading →

Captured Moving

Posted on January 26, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

This is a photo that could’ve been so much better, but I’m still happy with the result. I don’t think this went up into the Culture Eater gallery for Peach Pit’s show as there are better photos, but I still think … Continue reading →

Microphone Moment

Posted on January 22, 2024 by Stupidity Hole

There’s something about this photo that I find interesting. Not entirely sure what it is, but there’s kind of a sense of filth to it, I think. Beyond that, I think it’s great that the photo is as sharp as … Continue reading →
