Born Ruffians: SQUEEZE
This is the first review I finished this year. I don’t know as to why I sat for so long on finishing this, but I did. When I came back to it I did what I felt was enough to … Continue reading
Where Trains Arrive and Depart
Another photo of Albury Station. Another photo that feels quiet. I like the differing textures and details as they all fit pretty neatly together, I think. It not only feels quiet, but it almost feels abandoned. This is my submission … Continue reading

Curve Faces the Frame
This was taken a few weeks ago whilst wandering about Sydney Olympic Park. I like the sense of distance in this photo, as well as the sense of oddness caused by the shape of the corridor. I also like the … Continue reading

A Gull on Sand
A singular gull of the silver variety walking around on the sand. There’s a few different tracks covering the sand which seems to create a sense of noise, if that makes sense. Makes it seem like the gull is lost … Continue reading

Brick Pit Ducks
Here are some ducks as seen in The Brick Pit at Sydney Olympic Park. There’s also some rubbish floating among the growth on the water. I like how the space makes the ducks feel small, and I also like how … Continue reading

Leading Rows
A quiet photo with lighting that feels odd. A bit dry. Rust, signifying age. Tracks leading somewhere and clouds that appear fine close up, but off in the distance, seem to indicate a bit of rain. I hope you enjoy.

Albury Station
Or part of it at the very least. Once more a quiet photo, but this one feels empty. Still. And so on and so forth. This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness” for this week. I suggest checking out … Continue reading

Into the Distance
More railway shots of railway tracks as seen in Victoria. Not the most exciting image I’ve taken, but I still find it pleasant enough. Maybe it’s cosy. I do like the sense of distance in this one. This is my … Continue reading

Tree Among Tracks
There was another that still had its leaves nearby, but I like how this particular tree feels solitary due to the framing. The immediate area around the tree feels rather dry and almost barren, but it’s there, still covered in … Continue reading

Shade Runs Down the Platform
This was taken at Albury station. I tried a few times to get a shot of this particular scene that I thought worked. Can’t quite remember what issues I was encountering, but I think they mostly had to do with … Continue reading
