Uprooted Tree

On the first field trip during this semester my class had to take some measurements of a river.

I had a little bit of time to wander about so I took a photo of this tree.

On its side I think the tree takes on an interesting form in relation to the land.

I like how its bare ranches give it a striking look.

I think that this photo being in monochrome allows the light to bring forward some details and make the tree appear quite striking.

I think.

It has a quality that I don’t know how to describe.

This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s Monochrome Madness for this week.

If you’re a fan of monochrome photography on any level, then I recommend checking out Monochrome Madness and I also recommend considering submitting if you do photography.

I also recommend checking out Leanne Cole’s work outside of Monochrome Madness.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
