That is to say, more dune vegetation!
A lot of low-lying flora helping to stabilise the dune. With enough time it will grow thick and create great stabilisation.
Whilst it may not seem like it, dune systems can be pretty “Delicate“. Any factors outside of what they’re meant to cope with can lead to destabilisation which, depending on the location and age of the system, can lead to a slew of knock-on effects.
This is my submission into The Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This week is hosted by Leya and next week’s will be hosted by Amy.
Please check out the challenges and consider submitting and seeing how other people interpret them.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Interesting take on the theme, SH. These delicate grass species are very important, as you say. Even if people might be more happy to walk on sand only, they help stabilizing the dunes, stopping the sand flight. A delicate matter!

A delicate and important one that more awareness made will definitely be beneficial.

Definitely SH. We protect our dune grasses as if made of gold. They are what stand between us and the ocean in major storms and are quite delicate

Given enough time they develop into some pretty strong habitats too.
