Specifically of a bridge that I cycled across last week.
The light rail runs across this bridge and Parramatta Road passes underneath.
I like how it seems that, other than some of it visible in its curving over, the frame appears to be curving away at the sides of the photo.
Mostly I really like how well the colours and shapes came through. I think that the image is interesting mostly in terms of shape and geometry, but it also has a decent colour balance.
This is my submission into the one hundred-and-tenth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Creativity in the time of Covid“.
I don’t know how creative this image appears, but I feel it’s important to try and be creative in photography, despite what restrictions are and are not in place, hence my inclusion of a photo taken flat.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This one is hosted Tina. Next week’s is hosted by Patti.
I recommend checking out how people are interpreting the challenges. I also recommend joining in. It’s a growing, fun community.
I hope you enjoy.

Hi SH – creative photography is definitely and example of keeping our spirits up during the pandemic. Just being out there looking for a good subject keeps us focused (pun intended) on something other than our troubles!

So long as we’re careful of course 🙂

Hi, SH. Absolutely. I agree with Tina. Being out there and paying attention to what’s happening around us is a huge part of creativity. You got an interesting confluence of lines and shapes in your image. I wonder what it would look like in black and white? Um….??

I did process it in monochrome so I’ll send it through to you.

Cheers. There are a few other structures somewhat-similar to this within easy cycling range of my place so I should get out more and try to capture them, I think.
