Double Flowering Plum

It appears as though there are a few names for this particular tree. Including the one above, there is also Prunus blireana (or Prunus x blireana), cherry blossom blireana and cherry blossom plum. There are probably more, but I’ve spent a fair bit of time time identifying which plant this is as well as trying to confirm its name and right now I don’t feel up to spending more time on the endeavour.

I feel as though this is quite the lucky shot. The light, colour and detail are all balanced quite nicely. The flowers look quite pretty and the image overall feels relaxed.

I think the space around the flowers helps keep attention on them as the background is mostly featureless.
