A few days ago I drove out to Lithgow. There were a few stops along the way; one of which included a lookout facing Mount Solitary.
This is the second time I’ve shared a photo of Mount Solitary with clouds around its base (here is the first).
I like how the clouds appear in this photo. They don’t appear to be engulfing the entirety of the valleys, but they do seem to be spreading out.
This is my submission into the one hundred-and-thirty-seventh Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Soft“.
I feel this counts due to clouds often being considered soft in appearance.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This week’s challenge is curated by Leya. Amy is curating the next challenge.
The challenges are pretty fun and there’s a lot of room for interpretation that doesn’t get in the way of enjoyment. If you’re into photography, then I suggest participating, or at the least checking out what other people are submitting.
I hope you enjoy.

Clouds are, to me, the perfect subject for “soft”. Lovely image SH

It was a lovely time to be there. I was hoping for more clouds, but I’m happy with the result.

Lovely – and perfect for the challenge! Being above the clouds is a great feeling.

It makes you feel as though the place is high up, but without context of just how high.
