This was one of the last few photos I took last year. There was a strong sunset one one particular day and so I took photos.
I really like how strong the colour came through on this one, as well as the sense of fading that it has. It’s one last burst of colour, but still dulled. I also think the clouds work with the colour, but mostly due to them not quite looking like clouds, providing a textured feel to the sky that I find interesting.
Not sure why I included it, but I also like the part of the house in the corner.
This is my submission into the one hundred-and-eightieth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Favorite Photos of 2021“.
This is one of my favourite photos of those I took last year, hence it being my submission.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This one is curated by Amy. The next one is (as far as I’m aware) curated by Tina.
This year three people are joining the Lens-Artists team:
Sofia Alves of Photographias
Anne Sandler of Slow Shutter Speed
John Steiner of Journeys with Johnbo
It’ll be fun to see how they add to the challenges.
I recommend participating in the challenges. They’re enjoyable and allow room for interpretation of the theme without straying too far. If you don’t participate, then I recommend that you at least check out what others of the Lens-Artists community are submitting.
I hope you enjoy.
Lovely muted sky colors SH
