Eroding Layers of Rocky Clifftops

I’ve sat on this one for a little while and I’m not sure why.

I think that the light is balanced really well and the layers create a pattern redolent of waves, wind blowing through a field, and sand dunes.

I like how the minerals in the rock have faded due to weathering and yet are still quite visible.

I also like how much detail there is in the shot.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 456: Singing and Dancing

Of course, there is always a way forward when you’re entangled in vines, but don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, lest you actually take the information on board and stop pointlessly struggling against said vines.

Who knows? If you ignore what you’re told, maybe they’ll carry you to somewhere new.

It is always possible that they might even carry you somewhere old, but in this instance let us go with new, for that leads to things far more fantastic than something that would be revisited for the umpteenth time.

After the struggle has stopped, these vines will carry you off to somewhere new and exciting. A place full of adventure and drama, tension and mourning, problem and resolution and something that is bittersweet, yet uplifting all the same.

Toward the thick forests of growth that surround your very being at that point in time and then toward the sky, to the clouds that shall grin and laugh as you cannot escape, and yet there will be comfort, for it will all be happy and joyful as a musical number breaks out and you see little woodland creatures and some plants dancing about as you’re carried along through the sky and into a tree that seems hollow due to only being a shell on the outside, but on the inside it is far more massive than what was originally perceived.

It will be choreographed well and advance the plot of the situation somehow. Once you come to the realisation that all is okay, the vines shall release you and of course you shall too start singing and dancing along and it will be as fantastic as something that is fantastic.

The sun shall look stern in order to hide the fact that it is enjoying itself a fair bit, but of course that won’t fool anyone and eventually the crasis that it hides behind shall crumble and it too shall join in on everything that is happening.

Of course this would mean that the sun would be hurtling toward the earth and everything therefore shall be destroyed before the musical number is over, but we can’t have that happen so instead it will just stay where it is in order to protect the beings that it protects from various conquerors.

This will no doubt lead to a stunning conclusion that shall be enjoyed by all participants. There shall be festivities that will happen in a quick run as the ending tries to wrap up as much as possible without skipping anything, leading to a garbled mess but of course that is not how it will be perceived and therefore the conclusion will be as stunning as a mullet that is as stunned as it does stun.

Hopefully there will be room for some sort of water display in there somehow, but the budget might run over and therefore you’d have to go back to being on your merry way to wherever you were going, so best enjoy it whilst it lasts.

I’m happy with how this turned out.
It’s wonderfully ridiculous.

Bare Island

Bare Island.

It is an island that has things.

There was a fort built on it during the 1800s.
It was decommissioned in the early 1900s.

I think that it is adequately framed and that you get a good idea of its size relative to the bridge.

I like how there’s a few different textures in this shot.
I also like how the bridge helps add a sense of depth.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 455: Another Exam out of the Way

Another exam knocked to the ground with little difficulty.

Well, that is what I would like to say, but that would be slightly incorrect, as there was much difficulty which, after completion was followed with much peeing for some reason that is beyond my understanding.

Exams… I do not enjoy exams.
I also did not enjoy this exam.

It could have been much worse, but right now I do not care, for I am relaxed and in a state of mind that does not need to worry about these things for a little while.

After the exam and the peeing there was the obtaining of food followed by the heading of to La Perouse to check out an island there that goes by the name of Bare Island.

It was not bare; nor were there bears.

So the exam was early in the morning and since then I’ve spent a lot of my time relaxing rather than doing much of anything else as I’m feeling rather tired and wanting to be rather lazy. However, I need to not be lazy for there is much to be done over the next week or so in order to get on top of things, as well as ahead.

Before that, I shall think about how I went to La Perouse today and walked over a bridge to an island, took some photos of sea spray in action and then went off to help a friend grab a slow cooker and then take it back to his place which was then followed by heading to the shops, then heading home in that order.

There is none of that “not necessarily in that order” claptrap this time around, let me tell you!

Instead, there is only rigorous storytelling and other things that revolve around such endeavours of interest.

Hm. That’s all I have at the present moment. I really should have thought of other things to write about.

Well, the exam was okay. It was not bad, not good. Just okay.

I can think o other places that I could’ve been, but then again that would not have gotte me marks (assuming that I answered things correctly).

I left the exam early and I think that this is due to my needing to go to the bathroom. Little did I realise that I would remain in the bathroom for far longer than I had anticipated.

Such is life.

At least I got to enjoy the serenity and the ambience of the bathroom region that I spent some of my life inhabiting.

It’s not all bad. It could have been much worse.

Actually, the best thing about the whole exam was sitting on that toilet and relaxing whilst at the same time getting annoyed about being on the toilet due to how long I was on the toilet for, but sometimes that is the way that these things unfold and I’m at home now, so I get to relax and sleep soon.

Before then, more toilet.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 08:22:99

I spend a lot of time on the toilet and I’m not entirely sure why as it’s not always necessary.

Anyway, something.

Red Lights Along the Railway

Waterfall Station is where this photo was taken.

For a few trains this is the last stop of the line.

I like the sense of distance in this photo, as well as how quiet it seems.

I also like how the lights contrast with almost everything else. Most things seem soft and low-key whilst the lights are fairly bright.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 454: Last Final Exam of the Semester

Dark in the office.

Not too bad.

Of course, this will go down when the lights go on when the next person enters, but until then I can appreciate the fact that whilst it is dark in here, there is a little natural light.

Tomorrow, the last final exam of the semester.

Prepared, I am not.

Studying I have been doing, but not enough and to be fair that;s my own fault.

Still, I have been trying and right now I am trying to not do so, for there are things that I need to take care of before the start of my shift, but I will get some done today. Hopefully it is more than enough.

My back is sore so I should take posture.

After tomorrow, the sense of relief will sink in as I relax and do more of what I want to do rather than what I don’t want to be doing, but not necessarily in that order, although the order will most likely follow what I’ve just set out by stating those two things in that particular order.

I don’t know as to whether I should be worried or confident.
I do know that I do know a few things, such as what I.M.O.S. stands for, but there is still a lot that I’m lacking.

Oh well. It’s all a learning process.

Once the exam is done I’m going to go somewhere to take photos and get away from the location of where the exam will be held.

I will take photos and do a bit of exploring and then go home and relax for about thirty minutes before I resume writing about things and processing photos and doing all thew other things that I do.

That is how it will all go down, assuming that everything goes according to plan.

Of course, I am making massive assumptions here (not really) about how things will go down tomorrow, but hopefully this is all what happens.

Of course there is a chance that everything will happen differently and I will somehow end up doing something else, although at the same time that is likely to happen.

I know that I’m rambling a little more than usual, but at the moment I don’t have much to go on. I should be studying right now, but my mind is sitting elsewhere and I need to follow where it leads in order to get stuff out of the way so I can study.

Perhaps I should show up to the exam and write down anything for every question and then at the end write a lengthy justification as to why I should pass without necessarily answering every question with the correct answers.

I don’t think it would work, but it might just be worth a shot.

Perhaps I should just go in and answer what I can.

Perhaps I should find something that is a bit better to write about rather than something that does little to go somewhere.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 06:21:40

Best treat this one as a kind of warm-up.

Dry Uloola Falls

The recent bushwalk took my friend and I past Uloola Falls.

As I’m now using a full frame and my skills may have improved, I wanted to head down and get a long exposure of the falls to see how they would compare to the last one I took.

We went down and both the creek and the falls were dry.

It makes for an interesting comparison as you see much more of the rock and the parts that would usually be underwater.

The earthy colours work well with the vegetation and the shade and the lines in the rock help to add a bit more visual detail.

I think that it’s absolutely fantastic that some people decided to bless this bit of nature with their refuse. It’s good to see that they have a healthy respect for nature.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 453: State of Being

So I started writing about a river this morning, but I didn’t have much to go on, so I decided to start again as I’m a bit of a fool and should have pushed through and really gone all out with what I was writing.

Oh well.

It is winter. Yes, that’s a good start.

It is winter, not summer, not autumn. I am inside, as opposed to outside. However, at some point I will once more be in a state of being outside.

That is my state of being at a later point in time. At the moment that is current, I am inside and doing things that consist of being required to be inside to do these things at this present time based on where I am in space.

Do I keep going or do I stop? Or do I loop my way around and get to some sort of top?

There is a peak out here, but it is not near where I am and getting to that people would consist of getting outside which is not something that I can do right now as there are things consisting of requiring me to be inside in this office, at this desk in order to complete that are more important than being outside.

Soon there will be a requirement to do more work than is already being done. That is to say that right now no work is being done and in a very short period of time more than none will begin to be done.

It is the weekend and I am here in an office that is warm and does not at the moment require me to wear a jacket to be inside of as it is warmer in here than it is outside, so that is always a thing that is nice, or not depending on what your perspective is when it comes to the artificial warming of a structure in order to maintain some level of comfort, or something.

There is here, outside is there and here as opposed to there is where I am, but later on where I will be will change to here and here will no longer be here but instead be there as there becomes here, for here is a relative position based on here I would be situated in space rather than where I would not be situated in space.

Space is the place, as they say and inhibiting my form of space that is around me at the current present is where I would rather be, as I feel it is much better than being in another space that is not mine to inhabit and I would probably feel a little displaced is I was not where I was in space and time.

It is an odd conundrum that must be considered, but not really for this is all just some  lengthy ramble that is brought to you by being tired.

Or not. I’m not entirely sure.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:19:43

Well, this one is a humdinger of some sort.

I think that this has a good flow but I also think that it could be worded a bit better.
Potentially an interesting thought experiment.

Partially Lit

Yet another photo from Vivid.

I think that the light illuminating a part of the building rather than the whole building helps to draw focus to that part which in turn allows for focus on specific details.

I also like that outside of that light the building mostly doesn’t exist.

I hope you enjoy.

Into The

This started as a word challenge and then I lost the time but I didn’t want to start again so I kept it going. I guess that in a really loose sense this is poetry.

It’s okay.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Well, here we go once more, into the void, into the abyss, into the fray, into the heart of it all, into the forest, into the tunnel, into the cave, into the crowd, into the pub, into the buildings, into the temple, into the opposing forces, into the rain, into the flood, into the fire, into the storm, into the wind, into the wide open world, into the caravan, into the beyond, into space, into the pool, into the restaurant, into the day, into the night, into the desert, into the snow, into the challenge, into the conflict, into the strife, into the tube, into the cupboard, into the pile, into the leaves, into the river, into the lake, into the bathroom, into the bedroom, into the fortress, into the castle, into the den, into the lair, into the underground, into the plane, into the shuttle, into the train, into the car, into the truck, into the submarine, into the bay, into the other location, into the target, into the mind, into the eyes, into the idea, into the knowledge, into the school, into the educational system, into repetition, into the doorway, into the shower, into the new room, into the food court, into the cinema, into the elevator, into the emergency exit, into the plaza, into the park, into the bush, into the city, into bed and into a deep sleep.
