One Thousand Word Challenge 23: Chicken Beak Peck P.S.I. is Comparable to the P.S.I. of Great White Sharks

So previously I have talked abbot how chickens will be the dominant species in the future, which is something that is completely true and based on millions of hours of pure, unadulterated research that cannot be disputed, despite this all being a theory with insurmountable proof.

Well today I will be discussing something else about chickens that is again completely true despite also being a theory, as the evidence is undeniable to all those who check it out and there is more and more evidence that is discovered every day, therefore leading to the theory becoming stronger and stronger with each passing moment in time through the eons of space and dimensions.

Chickens. They are birds. Birds are sometimes chickens, but not all birds are chickens, but all chickens are birds.

Some of them make noises and some of them do not.

The thing with chickens is that they are far more deadly than we think, but the thing is that they do not act out using their power as it is too dangerous to both them and the thing that they would attack.

As we have all witnessed, plenty of chickens will peck at the ground picking up things that we are assuming they are eating due to some of their food being found on the ground.

Well, the P.S.I. of a chicken beak peck is comparable to that of great white shark bites.

A few years ago, the P.S.I. of a great white shark was simulated and it was rather high. It hasn’t been out-and-out shown, but it may have some credence despite being just a simulation.

Well it’s not just a simulation and in fact a complete truth due to the fact that chickens have a pecking P.S.I. comparable to great white shark bites.

Alright, so chickens peck at the ground quite often but as we can all see, they do not displace a lot of of the ground when they peck.

Some chickens will use a peck to defend themselves, although this is most likely an uncommon thing to witness.

You see, they can actually put much more force behind their beak, but they choose not to and there is a very important reason for that fact: Unless it is done from a certain, precise angle, not only will they cause serious damage to that which they are pecking, but they will also completely shatter their beaks and it takers a really long time to grow back a beak which can lead to all sorts of problems with feeding and health, especially if there is a war going on.

The thing is that with the ground it is a little easier, but not by much as despite the fact that the ground is usually stationary, you can’t always account for a gentle breeze slightly displacing some of the earth underneath you or that which is around you, just like you can’t account for a moving target all the time.

If everything was stationary all the time, chickens would have no issue with this. Their beaks would stay in one piece and the only damage that would be suffered would be from the target and not them.

Besides which, even if they didn’t have to worry about a sudden gentle breeze, they understand the almighty power that they wield and choose to use it only when absolutely required. Sometimes the risk must he the beak in order to protect the poultry society.

It must be noted that whilst some chickens would become arboreal chickens, they would not use their powerful beak peck P.S.I. against trees. In fact, no chicken would because they’ve got better things to do with their time, such as deliberating and many other chicken-related things.

There is no training involved in order to make sure that they keep their beak peck P.S.I. as it is a natural thing that is inherent to them and that is because chickens are descended from Tyrannosaurus rex.

As we all know, Tyrannosaurus rex had a very powerful bite and despite over time their shrinking down and jaw fusing to become a beak as they slowly evolved into chickens in order to escape extinction and adopt a lower profile so that they would not be mercilessly hunted down until there was no hope for the survival of their species, they managed to keep the powerful P.S.I. of their bite and convert it into the powerful beak peck P.S.I. of the chicken, although bit is a little less powerful due to the the beak being a bit smaller.

However, as the great white shark is related to the megalodon and it has a comparable P.S.I. to the beak peck P.S.I. of the chicken, in actuality the chicken beak P.S.I. is also similar to that of megalodon because the great white shark is related to megalodon.

Some people might argue that due to batter farm chickens being trapped and getting far too obese to properly move around, they may not be able to use their powerful peck properly. However, this is an incorrect train of thought, for although they may be bulkier than their free-moving brethren, once they are freed they can use their weight to help gain enough momentum and acceleration through space and time in order to apply the full force of their peck and in some cases apply more power due top the bulk of their body helping them accelerate faster.

So if a battery farm chicken gets onto a slight downward incline and keeps going downward, its rolling will allow it to accelerate to speeds unknown and by the time it reaches its intended target by launching at the right moment, so long as it hits said target at the right angle, the beak peck P.S.I. will be multiplied by the force of the weight of the chicken soars through the air.

So, as you can now understand, there is completely irrefutable evidence that chickens have a beak peck P.S.I. comparable to that of great white sharks.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 279: Cycling Game

So recently I found out something that I didn’t know existed.
It turns out that there was a game that you’re meant to play when you’re cycling at night and I’ve only found out that this was a thing that existed.

I kind of wish that I had known sooner because I could have been an active participant.
It’s a shame, really.

Anyway, let me tell you all about this game.

It’s called “Try to blind everyone as much as possible by having your lights set to be as bright as possible”, and what you do is you try to blind everyone as much as possible by having your lights set to be as bright as possible. If you have really powerful lights, it’s much more effective.

I can be a challenging game, but you get bonus points if people can suddenly not see because you’re too much of an asshole to consider that turning your lights downward and making sure that they’re not facing directly ahead to ensure that they do not start staggering and significantly increase the chance of a collision.

At this point I’m really beginning to think that many people who cycle don’t deserve to be anywhere near any form of vehicle.

Just because you have powerful lights does not mean that you get the right to seriously inconvenience other people.

Many cyclists talk about how cyclists need more rights and more safety but aren’t willing to pull their huge heads out of their asses and realise that they’re just as much part of the problem as those that they rally against.

Of course there are cyclists who will say something like “these people don’t represent us, we don’t behave this way; they’re in the minority”.

They do represent all of us cyclists. Shut up and deal with it and start working more toward turning the perception that cyclists are assholes around because the perception is one that is, quite frankly, fair and well-earned.

Too many cyclists have no regard for those around them. Too many are assholes and think it’s okay to have their lights as bright as possible and pointing directly ahead and not down.

Too many cyclists do not seem to understand that this action can lead to serious injury.

We do not rule the road. No one rules the road.
We do not have the right to blind other people with overly-powerful lights.

Surely cyclists should have the temerity to not do stuff like this to other people.
Surely they should have the temerity to treat other cyclists like they’re not a hindrance, so long as those cyclists aren’t actively causi0ng a hindrance.

The cycling community of Sydney is genuinely a strong one and I’m glad to see that it has continued to grow. Cycling is an activity that has far more benefits than it does negatives.

The problem is that too many people seem to think they get to shit on everyone else instead of being kind and active participants.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 09:56:81

Well, that was an angry rant.

The light thing has been irritating me for a while.
I think it came to a point where I wasn’t going to tolerate it anymore when last week I was cycling home and thought there was a car coming toward me.

It wasn’t a car. It was two people cycling next to each other, taking up the whole path whilst also having their lights be as bright as possible.

Whilst I don’t often mistake cyclists for cars, seeing cyclists have no regard for how they should have their lights set up in a public area is far too common.

Sunday Evening Commute

On Sunday evening I was in the city taking photos for something.

There was some opportunity to get some shots outside of that, so shots I did indeed take.

This spot has been photographed plenty of times and I’m not sure if I brought anything new to it, but I do like the angle of the photo.

You get a good idea of the traffic flow and there’s also  a nice amount of space in the sky due to not being cluttered with buildings.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 278: Questions

It is not the colour of my skin, as my skin is not metallic, but that is not something that should be taken literally.

Well, the first part is, but the possibility of my skin not being taken literally…

Wait.

Let me start again.

It is not the colour of my skin, as my skin is not metallic, but that should be considered as a figurative form of speech.

Of course my skin is not metallic, but what does this phrase really mean?

Why am I referencing a lyric from Catherine Wheel?

What does anything mean?

Can’t we just use the mode?

If we use the mode instead of the mean, will that really cause problems when coming to a conclusion?

Well, possibly.

But what if the possibility of it not causing problems, despite it usually producing a different number, was an actual possibility?

What if we had to look at things slightly differently in order to produce the same result?

What if the result was not actually a result but actually more questions that lead us off on some tangent where we just ask a lot of questions instead of answering any because we’ve nothing else in our mind at that given time and are also in a mode to question as much as we possibly can?

What if the results were never solid and continued to shift around like the patterns that we can see in nature?

What if there was no such thing as a result and instead all it was was a slight snapshot in time that would be different every time we tried the same methods, despite sample sizes?

What if all I am saying has no factual basis in the fabric of reality and all I am doing is asking questions that don’t really need to be considered?

Is this really all there is, or is there more that we cannot see due to not being able to move the curtain out of the way whilst also being happy with what we are presented with, therefore preventing the chance to attain true enlightenment?

What if there are no answers in the world whatsoever and all that exists are unlimited questions coming from some massive abyss in the universe, continually raining down upon us all?

What if there are only answers and there are no questions?

What if there are no reactions?

What if the sun rotates in a way that we could not perceive and it gives the illusion of how it rotates due to how hot it is and we cannot find out how it rotates due to not being able to get close enough?

What if the nature of humanity is something that we have never known due to how traumatic it is to know?

What if all the food we didn’t buy actually got used and given to those who needed it instead of being thrown out?

What if we treated people a little better?

What if I stopped asking questions?

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 08:17:27

I’m not too sure as to where this came from, but then again most of the time when I start writing I don’t know what the result will be.

This was a fun, silly bit of writing (save for two questions that are serious).

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 277: Grow our Trees

It’s a crazy day!

Crazy calls, come flooding in my direction, inundating me with questions about things that leave me wanting to dream away what time I have in my job.

There are calls about products, about orders and they are biting away at my eardrums, all vying to be the loudest voice that will have my attention, yet all I can give is equal weighting to them all, for I can only be on one call at a time and there is an order in which the calls must obey, for all their pushing does little more than make it more difficult for me to asst.

They carry me away through the day toward the end where I will step outside into the cold, urban backdrop as I hurry my way to the nearest station in order to be able to make my way to a place where I shall stock up on sustenance that I need, as well as delicacies that I shall wish to lavish my  mouth with, for whilst there are things that I need, I do like to reward myself for little effort put into something.

Taste is a harsh mistress.

There will be another vehicle that will take me near my door, soon followed by the stepping inside and relaxing for a short period before words my be understood and documents deciphered in order to increase what I know whilst at the same time reducing how much I know, for each bit of learning opens a new pathway to a new world and unfortunately I do not have enough time on the earth to be able to explore every option there is, and unfortunately I do not have enough time in the world to be able to give as much attention as I would like to most of the routes that I would like to try and go down, but I certainly give a lot of my time to some of them some of the time, therefore at least knowing a little bit more than I had previously.

The tree shall branch widely as it grows far bigger than I could ever fathom, creating a canopy that begs exploring with as much wonder as possible.

The branches thick and strong as I hurriedly climb and try to reach the view that it allows, showing me the grand world around and the unlimited potential of all that is, as well as all the other trees that people have planted with their learning.

The stars are the limit and beyond them… who knows?

It is a magnificent time to be alive as, for all the hurt and terror in the world, we have access to more knowledge tomorrow than we did yesterday, therefore allowing us to continue to cultivate our trees and make sure that they are as strong as they can possibly be, whilst also helping those that may need a little boost in order to reach the same lofty heights for which we strive.

Well, I think I like this more than my usual stuff.

Leaf Pattern

I like this pattern, but I wonder as to what has caused it to occur.
Was it disease? Was it an insect?

I don’t know.

I find the pattern to be nice and well-crafted.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 276: I Have Fingers. You Have Fingers.

There is a keyboard in front of me.
I am wearing a hat.
The person next to me is wearing a hat.

It would be more correct to say that we both simultaneously are wielding head apparatus upon our heads.

Yes. That would be much more correct to say.

I have fingers.
You have fingers.

You may not have fingers, but I most certainly do have fingers.

I also have hands.

My hands are handy.

There is air and oxygen around me.

I am breathing.

Breathing I am and within my breathing is the ability to inhale oxygen to help my body stay alive.

I am alive.
You are alive.
We are all alive.

There is a sky outside.

There are also clouds and wind.

Sometimes there are trees and sometimes there are no trees.

It depends on how many trees are in an area.

If there are no trees in an area, then there are no trees. If there is more than a single tree in an area, then there are trees in an area.

Legs are useful.
They help with locomotion.

Locomotion is useful as it allows us to get from one place to another.

Sometimes legs are not enough. When legs are not enough, it is advisable to use a vehicle that is able to help you get around at a faster speed, whether that be a car or a horse.

A nose is a useful tool for inhaling air, as well as sensing smell that can either be pleasant, or unpleasant.

Sometimes a thing that is not can be, but that can be will always be and that which is not will not always be, therefore not being something that is and instead being something that is not.

A flower will rise from the earth in some form or another.

A smile will awaken eyes and bring about a little bit more innocence and joy into the world if it is found in the context required for such joy and innocence.

The world is a far larger place than we think, and we are so tiny in comparison to many things in our universe.

I’ve heard that space is the place.

I don’t know why it is the place, but that is what I’ve heard.

Sometimes when a rhythm is heard, it is also felt if it’s loud and powerful enough for it to felt.

Sometimes a rhythm is more felt than it is heard, and sometimes it is more heard than it is felt.

It is a most tenuous of balances, and verily so.

The clouds are passing over, casting a shadow that floats and glides far faster than we can when we are moving at a walking pace.

They cast patterns upon the earth that shift, yet all we see them as is passing shadows on a day where a breeze may not be noticeable, for we are seldom above the clouds, in a position where we can watch their graceful creation upon land.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 07:45:79

Sometimes I write some stuff.
Sometimes it is better and sometimes it is worse than some arbitrary average.

Sand Fades into Water

These two shots were taken in Bundeena shortly after Si and I started our lengthy walk through the Royal National Park.

I like that these photos are not vibrant, as well as the contrast between the colours of the sand and water, as well as their texture.

I like that blue dominates the photo but does not overwhelm.

I also like how quiet and calm the scene feels.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 275: I Like Swimming

I like being in water.
I like swimming.

As I discovered yesterday, I’m significantly worse at swimming than I had thought.

On Thursday I signed up for pool use at the University of New South Wales as, despite my desire to not pay to swim, it served as a necessity of convenience.

I would very much like to go swimming at Brighton-Le-Sands again as it has been a while since I was last there.

I think it has been over a year at this point, possibly getting close to two.

I’m not sure as I haven’t paid too close attention, but I can confirm that it has been longer that I would like.

However, due to the constraints of time with work and university due to studying and working more, I found it to be more practical to pay to use the pool at university as it takes less time to get there and go for a swim than it does to go to Brighton-Le-Sands, go for a swim and then head to wherever it is that I’m going to head.

It also means that I spend more time working on studying.

So I signed up to use the pool at UNSW and then went for my first swim in said pool yesterday with one of my university colleagues.

I can confirm that I was amazing and graceful in ways that I could not possibly imagine, and that there’s nothing else to say on the matter and that’s the end of this post.

See y’all later.

So I sucked. I sucked really badly. I can swim maybe twenty metres before I need a quick break, or need to switch swimming style.

It wasn’t embarrassing to suck as I had no delusions of grandeur, although I did not expect to suck as much as I sucked.

Still, I gave it a go and I managed to swim two-hundred metres in total, although there was plenty of stopping.

I sucked and I still did it despite my almost-complete inability to put in something resembling an acceptable swim.

I like swimming and I like being in water, so all this means is that I’m going to work on my swimming fairly frequently as I do want to make sure that I can be a better swimmer sooner rather than later.

Part of this has to do with swimming in the ocean and part of this has to do with the desire to be a better swimmer.

Part of it also has to do with the fact that  I am tied to this pool for a minimum of six weeks so I might as well get the most out of my money so that I’m not wasting my time or my funds.

Perhaps one day I will be amazing and graceful in ways that at the moment I don’t feel like trying to imagine.

Perhaps I won’t, but at least I will be swimming more often and that is a significant plus for me.

Better than my swimming.

HA HA HA HA HA.

HA HA.

Structural Patterns

Another shot of Anzac Bridge.
Another shot of part of its structure.

I think that the visible patterns on this one coalesce with each other quite well.

It probably has to do with how much of it is straight lines, as well as being part of a geometric structure.

I like that the photo is not completely in focus. There’s enough focus to know what everything is, but it seems that in this photo the focus being slightly off adds something that I can’t quite put my finger on.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
