Poem about Rain and Clouds

This came quickly, though it manages to be as bad as what I usually write so I’m kind of happy about that.

I think that, as far as imagery goes this does a tolerable job of getting things across, but other than that it’s quite lacking.

I hope you enjoy.

Droplets fall, hit the ground
A loud sound they create
It rapidly repeats and pierces
Blockages only dampen
They do not remove
The sound moves through everything

Soon the falling relents
The sound dissipates
A patch of light appears
Breaking through the clouds
Illuminating whatever it can
However brief that may be

Clouds cover once more
Though no more water falls
And soon the sky clears itself
Revealing a faint blue
Stretching far beyond sight
Until clouds wash in once more

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
