I really need to work on poetry.
Well, I don’t, but despite my lack of being able to create something decent, I enjoy writing poems.
Anyway, here’s a poem about trying to write a poem.
Nothing fancy. It’s lacking and rough but it gets the idea across.
I hope you enjoy.

It is easy to sit and stare at the screen
And think that the words will spill forth
To know what it is that you want to write
And be seated, prepared to let text flow
When moving toward the keys
Or perhaps whilst wielding an instrument
The motion stops almost in full
As the words refuse to reveal themselves
Whilst clear when thought of
They do not seem able to translate
From thoughts to a format considered visible
For their traversal is stalled
It is easy to sit and stare at the screen
To know what it is that you want to write
And have the words unable to come forth
And not write anything at all
