A Poem About the end of a Year

This was written… maybe within two minutes.
I wish I had though of it yesterday. It’s not great by any measure, but it would’ve worked well with yesterday.

I think that, at the very least, I captured a sense of things not changing. It seems like the shift into a new year is often considered a reset on many things, but it seldom does in the ways most publicly desired.

I hope you enjoy.

Once more the eyes close for the last time
And many farewells are said in an instant
For all that is comes to an end
So that it can resume in the following morning

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
