Five-Hundred Word Challenge 540: Create its own

A hypothetical decision is made in real, or so they say.

There is no telling as to which way the snow will run, but instead of running it shall compact upon itself and form layers of white spread across a non-linear landscape.

It shall create its own as all colour is drained and the burn is reflected off, therefore requiring greater layers of protection. The burn and cold combine and form some sort of unpleasant beast that has no corporeal form, but there is still a way to combat its foul decision and that is usually through preparation, protection and sustenance.

Across the landscape you must go, for there is a great distance to cover in order to see all the things that want to be seen by your eyes so that they can happily feast upon the imagery of which you would be presenting to them, of course.

All draped in the colour of snow and all colourless, yet the detail would remain rich and apparent.

All emphasised and diminished in some form or another and all there is is all to see. There is plenty out there and it is up to you to traverse the vastness of it all, for no one can show you these to you except for yourself, and a guide of course. But there is no guide, so you must experience the world. Yes, you.

Camping out in the snow would be a fun thing, but sometimes it is much better to make a small, looping journey rather than a large one.

Still, there should be plenty of time to ruminate on the proceedings and sit among the snow, waiting for the seasons to pass on by as the landscape changes with the passing shadows and the contrast and combat between night and day. Sun shall rise and fall, moon shall glide across the perceived sky and the stars, so far away from us all shall shine on down and greet the world, but never reach us any closer than we would probably hope.

Well, we probably wouldn’t as, if the stars were too close, that may cause a few problems, but that is beside the point right now.

Rivers will still flow, but only slowly and in a way that we cannot perceive with immediacy. There will be more persistent flows in warmer climates and it will not be long before a warmer climate approaches us.

For now, there is the compacted snow and its traversable nature that you must breach and approach. There are things to see that will appear before you and you must see them with the things known as eyes. The sensors in them will help discern the wonders of nature.

There is of course the need to eat and that will be something that arises, so food shall be had and the landscape will be draped in the compressed snow that shall be crossed with no amount of small difficulty, and the colour shall remain temporarily drained.

Writing this hurt my right hand which suggests that I was not in a good position to write, which further suggests that I need to change my posture to a better one.

Not sure as to what was going on here. Tuned out but probably not enough.

Once more uploaded a bit of time after finishing, for I am at home and this was not written at home.

Written at work.

A Rocky Landscape

This was toward the end of the first day of the brief trip Fe and I embarked upon.

We ended up in a place that was massive and beautiful, as seen in this photo.

Well, I think it’s beautiful.

The geological features work well, I think. They blend well and have some interesting shapes and textures that help to emphasise the size of the area.

The reflections are pretty clear and detailed. I don’t think there was a strong wind at the time.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 539: Drifting into the Clouds

It’s been a long time since I was sitting at a desk at the end of a shift and trying to beat the clock in order to get something of text written down, and now that I am attempting to do this I realise that I’m probably thinking about it a little too much, but still there is a desire as there hasn’t  been any writing today and I need to get my fingers working!

there was also no need for that exclamation mark, but I am floating away and dreaming of the power walk of power that I shall do after I catch the train and race my way to the door that denotes the place that I live, as that is what I will be doing as it’s a little bit of exercise and you need to get the legs pumping every now and then. Otherwise they start to experience problems that could not be described as something that would be pleasant. Therefore, there will be walking. It will be dark but it is something that needs to be done as it is one of the more efficient ways of getting home. Also, it seems fairly safe, so that’s something I consider when I go walking in the dark.

That has very little to do with… or does it?

Anyway, floating away, drifting into the clouds, sailing away off into the distance as there is an unlimited possibility fore unlimited potential and knowing this I must chase the stars to their destinations whilst we all frolic in the glen of days as opposed to the hove of ears.

That is to say that soon I shall head on my way. There will be the using of the eyes and the sensing of the justice in the air, but there will not be just ice in the heir to the closing of the door behind me, only for it to open at some determined point in the future. That point of course would be the pint in which I shall once more as though its entrance as it is the door that leads to the entrance to work, and also sometimes the entrance to the world outside and that room is far more massive than I could ever hope to have as a room of my own.

This is probably due to it being a room for everyone, rather than just a few, or something.

But that is all conjecture. Now is the time to strike whilst the iron is ready and now is the time to escape my confines and make my way to the place known as home, for it is late in the evening and I am a person of a stature that does not indicate something, but something else entirely.

There is a great distance over a short period to cover, but mostly I just want to get home and start resting, as the day has been a day that I have lived, as always.

I wrote this last night and forgot to upload.

It’s okay.

Small Brickwork Arches

With a fair bit of debris and graffiti to boot.

I think that the architecture isn’t necessarily the most interesting, but it is certainly nice.

I like the approach to placing the graffiti. Some of it is more just there and distracting, whereas some of it kind of adds a bit more to the scene.

This is an old place, but at least it’s seeing some use.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 538: The Field of Vision

There is so much to do and so little time, but I am split between the travelator and the bus which yawns sideways as it passed by my field of vision.

However, this field is only of eyes and not one of short, or long grass and other creations of nature that just so happen to be around for all to view and see. However, they may also not be viewable, as it all depends on the perspective.

Another two of those buses seem to snake their way along a linear tract of land and seem to move with the motion of implied smoothness. Of course, implied being implied, it is not necessarily smooth, but that is how my peripheral vision perceives it to be and as such that is how I must accept that it is, unless I choose to reject the notion of reality and accept that perhaps my reality is but one of many, and those who have a different perception of reality is no less valid than mine, even if there is a general consensus of what is and isn’t considered to be real and illusory.

But then it all comes back down to the field that is in front of my being right now which is known as the “The Field of Vision”, as opposed to “THE Field of Vision”.

At the moment it is a field that is not vast, but with enough time and patience and cultivation, it may grow into something far more massive than I could ever comprehend.

Then again, if it was that massive and I was seeing it, I guess I would be comprehending it as the light would be translated into the thing known as “imagery” and thus it would be perceived as I would be there in the flesh and in the person and this massive field would be in front of me, and thus I would be there seeing it.

This is assuming that my eyes were not closed, as then there would be no vision to field.

Well, there would be, but I would not be bearing witness to it as I would be willfully closed off to its glories and its… whatever it would be, unless that is that my eyes were obscured against my will in some manner, in which case… well, you get the idea.

Or perhaps you see the idea in your mind which creates a vast expanse in front of you but you cannot see it, but as you are outside of yourself and in the field, even though you cannot see it, you can still see it as you are currently part of it and that is more than enough to make sure that you know what it is that you need to see in order to know that you are seeing what you are seeing.

Got it? Good.

So there is sight and sight is a useful tool in which we can use to perceive things.

Many things.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:49:43

Rather ridiculous, I think, but I’m happy with how it turned out.

Kind of rambled the whole way through but for most of this I tuned out and ended up following a thread in a somewhat-smooth way.

Traveling Over the Spheroid

A couple of weeks ago I walked home from farther away than usual.

Part of the reason was that I wanted to get a shot of a train crossing this bridge.

I wasn’t expecting the production of the shape from the water and the arch.

The image in the shape almost doesn’t look like a reflection.
To me, it almost looks like another river.

I think that it works well as a contrast to the rest of the image. Everything else is, whilst nice, still of this world. The image in the shape appears to be of another world in a sense.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 537: More Aimless Rambling

Waiting for the lecture to begin, but it’s still a while away.

Actually, it’s not that long.

Yes, it is now time for me to complain about the fact that there is an assessment tomorrow and an assessment due on Friday.

Here we are, at the precipice of study and I am not doing that thing, for I would rather find other, more productive things to do, but I must face reality and face my destiny, blah blah blah, you get the idea.

Don’t feel like studying. Would much rather do other things with my time, but studying is what I need to do for there is work to conquer and so long as I conquer that work, I should be okay. I should be okay, I think.

I know that I don’t want to do anything, though. I would much rather rest and float away and hide away for a little while, then come back for air and take care of all the things that I need to take care of, or something.

So, I sit here, procrastinating but soon, soon there shall be the reading of the notes and the learning of the lectures and the getting the power to believe in order to gain more and more and more and more and more and more…

And more. Then I shall fail the exam in spectacular beauty.

It’s the small goals that get us to the end and get us to where we want to be, or something to similar effect.

More rambling, more talking, more moving through the way that I need to go in order to get to the end of it all.

I should probably start studying now, but there’s this tune in my head that keeps going back and forth and it is getting into my head via the process of traveling via an audible format that then sends signals that stimulates the bones.

The bones of the ears.

It is a basic exam and I’m just sitting here and not doing it because I cannot… well, I’m lazy. That really is what it comes down to, Not much has changed. I was lazy five years ago and I’m still lazy now.

I guess that at least I can admit to such a thing.

At the same time… no, I don’t do enough. Or something.

I can’t even put in enough effort to form all of these sentences as complete, and instead revert to saying things such as “or something” or something.

Not to illustrate the point too much, of course.

Well, I guess with all of that being said, I really should get to work and start getting more stuff done in order to do the thing that lies before me, but not today as it instead lies on the day of tomorrow.

That is how it’s all said, I think.

Well, that is to say that I do not know, but here I am, looking for an end when it’s all middle.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:38:63

I was far too “switched on” during this run.
I think it shows.

Lake Burragorang

A photo of the titular lake, or at least part of it.

I wonder as to how much of the area is not visible due to Warragamba Dam.

I like how the lake kind of snakes about a bit, but at the same time still remain predominantly linear in its direction.

I don’t think the photo gives the best idea of how massive the lake happens to be, but I still think that the lakes looks large.

The land frames it well and, along with the clouds in the sky, overall everything comes together to make what feels like a fairly peaceful image.

I hope you enjoy.

Rainbow Over Power

Walking home from a nearby train station recently.

Had the opportunity to get this shot and as such I took it.

I think it creates for a nice contrast. Something pretty nice to see cut through by something that is completely at odds with the surrounding area.

I’m sharing this photo as part of The Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.

The theme this week is “Around the Neighbourhood“.

This photo was pretty close to home and I’ve been meaning to share it, so I think it works for the theme.

The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:

Week 1 – Patti

Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya

Week 3 – Amy

Week 4 – Tina

This week is hosted by Tina and next week’s will be hosted by Patti.

I hope you enjoy.

Quarry Rock in Sunset’s Light

One spot visited during the past two days.

Part of the remains of an area that saw a great deal of activity.

I think that the cloud pattern works really well with the rock formation; especially with how the light is cast onto the formation’s body.

The formation appears to be really striking. It’s full of rich detail from erosion and cutting and I think that the light helps emphasise some of that.

I also think that the light helps the formation feel like it has a bit more depth to it.

Other than that, I also think that this is a somewhat-relaxed photo, and I like the minor amounts of vegetation in parts of the shot.

This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s photo challenge.

The theme this week is “Yellow”.

I suggest checking out Leanne’s photography, as well as checking out what other people submit into the challenge.

You can find the challenges here.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
