Rusting Machinery Pile

Old equipment that has seen better days.

I don’t know as to how long it had been since this stuff was last used, but I do believe that it had been a fair while.

It sits here, waiting to be taken to somewhere else, but its wait may be a long one.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 360: Post-Christmas Post

It is boxing day, the day after Christmas.

The day where everyone goes out and punches on in the streets, in the stores, in the parks and everywhere in the world.

It is everywhere that it can be expected to be seen, this massive amount of people hitting each other using the fists that they hold on their persons close to their chests.

Yes, that is the way that today goes.

Christmas was alright, but I am glad that it is over, although I am not glad about the reduced amount of hours at work, for that will mean less money which means sitting a little more tightly on my growing nest egg.

Probably a good thing, now that I think it about it, as it will mean that I exercise a little more frugality.

It is also annoying as today the specials may be ready which means cheaper camera gear and that also means stuff that I cannot but for I cannot spend, lest I want to have less money again, which is most definitely something that I do not want to do.

Oh ear lord, what a conundrum. Who knows what will happen if I keep on following?

The weather outside is grey, but that is alright as I will be going for a walk into it soon whilst I listen to another album that I need to review. There are many to write and I am but one man and one that is young.

I can’t quite remember where I was going with this.

Oh wait. I wasn’t going anywhere. Well that’s a shame, as I sure that if I was able to get somewhere with what I am writing in this particular moment of writing, then somewhere is where I would get.

Maybe I should write about advertising and how annoying it is as it really is annoying.

Annoying and obtrusive.

Maybe instead I should write about how awesome Christmas is, which is not something that I believe but still probably something that I could write about in order to fill the void whilst I work on other things that I need to write.

Well, do I really need to write them? Perhaps I am just telling myself that there are things that I need to write but am not writing them for maybe I feel that there is no need to do the writing of them and instead am working on other things for the simple reason being that they are needing the writing more than the things that I think need to be written but don’t need to be written.

Perhaps I am just trying to get to the end of this so I can avoid writing about Christmas, even though this Christmas wasn’t too bad a Christmas.

Maybe I should just stop writing for now so I can work on the other things.

That is a good idea, so I shall close this off by wishing you all a most happy of Christmases.

Throne of the Sun

On its journey to the sky, the Sun takes its place on its throne, if only for a brief moment.

As the sun was rising I tried to see if this was doable.

I’d like to believe that I was successful.

I like the strength of the colour in this photo, as well as the depth.

I also like how few the clouds are, and the silhouetting of the rock.

I hope you enjoy.

First Light

The morning is greeted by the colours of the early morning.

This was taken on the last morning of the field trip on the turtle island.

I needed to make use of the tripod as I had brought it along with me to use, and so I did in the process of taking this photo, as well as others.

A long exposure that probably could have been longer.

I do like the slight motion drift in them, as well as the slight silhouette of the islands and the strength of the colour in the sky.

I think that this all gives the impression of a waking world. I think.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 359: Well, I Guess These are Becoming Looser

Well, this is the last day of the last week that involves working during the traditional business hours of the modern world before Christmas hits and everyone stops being as aggressive as possible, whilst others are as non-aggressive as possible given whatever circumstances are inhabiting their world at that given moment in the world that is life that we all inhabit.
One big happy family right now.

Last night was intense and I am expecting today to be just as intense, as it is one day closer to the massive event where everyone gives out gifts except for those that don’t give out gifts, for there is no reason to give out gifts only at specific times of the year. There is no excuse, really.

I know that tomorrow I shall be at work once more. It will be the weekend and I will be here, tearing out  my hair as the stress rises and I keep on battling the customers in a never-ending fight to the breath that I need to hold in order to stay alive when the oxygen runs out.

I don’t even know what I am going on about anymore, but it seems to make some sort of sense, so I shall keep on going, although I don’t think that that is a good idea, so maybe instead I will stop and get on with something else.

It has been quite busy, but thankfully the period is nearly over and then everyone can relax a little more. This will be a good thing, hopefully.

I do know that it will be a fair bit more quiet, which means less work which means more time for stuff outside of work, but I don’t quite know as to what I should do with the time that I will have.

I’m sure that I will work it all out eventually, in time, just like the flow of the river and the direction of the breeze.

But where do I go from here? Very soon I will once more be on the phones, taking the calls and keeping the day going. I will be handling the enquiries with deft badness and working my way toward the end of the day during which I will have a lunch.

I guess that the best place to start is the beginning. Where is the start? Where is the end? Where does the day begin if it has no end and is merely repeating itself over and over and over again?

I guess that I should start by preparing to take calls and deal with the customer assault that will be as inevitable as it will  be worthy a challenge with which to deal.

Perhaps instead I should start by finishing this off, but I don’t know what words to use that will get me to the end of these sentences and finish this whole thing off and show my superiority to everything, I think.

Or I should just get on with getting on.

Azonic: Prospect of the Deep Volume One Review

Azonic’s Prospect of the Deep Volume One is an excellent album. It has been put together quite well and sounds as meticulously thought-out as it does improvisational. Each track (especially Oblivion of the Deep) invokes strong imagery as it carries you along and washes over you.

The songs are expansive and densely layered and the album overall is quite heavy and in parts intense, but lacks the aggression that usually comes with heavy music.

The whole album flows very well, as to be expected with this kind of experimental music, and each song sits as well on its own as it does with the rest of the album.

The thing with Prospect of the Deep Volume One is that whilst it is composed really well and is strong record for it, it’s the way that the music reaches out and holds you that makes it stand out. Azonic know how when to pull back and when to be relentless. None of what you hear sounds phoned in, artificial or pointless. The way that all the sounds come together, as well as how they are used is natural and effortless, leaving more room for the songs to carry you along with them.

Azonic have released an expansive, gripping album that is well worth the time.

Rocky Landscape

As seen on Avoid Island and probably part of the reason as to why Avoid Island is named the way it is, as this is mostly underwater during high tide.

I like that the shadow seems to break up the photo slightly, and I like the texture and patterns of the rocks and the invertebrates living on them.

I also like how striking the rock appears due the sky not being vivid.

Whilst this was only taken recently, it is one of my “2017 Favorites“.

This photo is my submission into The Daily Post‘s photo challenge for this week.

I hope you enjoy.

Sand and Rocks

When I was processing this photo I decided to stuff around a bit and this was the result.

The way that the sand seems to disappear the less focused the image becomes helps enhance the ambiguity and I do like that the rocks seem to blend into each other in some parts of the photo.

This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s Monochrome Madness this week.

If you enjoy monochrome photography, then I strongly recommend checking out Monochrome Madness. If you do photography, then I also recommend submitting.

I also recommend checking out Leanne Cole’s work outside of Monochrome Madness.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 358: There are Calls to Answer

Man, it’s really insane at work at the moment. Well, that might actually be a bit inaccurate to say, so instead I shall change that around at some point in the future of this exercise in typing as fast as I can in order to whatever.

It’s really busy. I’ve been inundated more than I would ever like to admit. It feels like the office is busy, and that is a good thing as, even though I am not working right now and instead on a break, it means that the breaks are much more easy to appreciate and also means that when working, I am kept busy by the calls. There is little lag and thus little time to power down, instead being kept busy al the time by the many enquiries that I am continuously answering in order to assist customers to the best of my ability.

I’ve written a fair bit about the crap that I (and others) cop from customers due to their unreasonable demands, but there are plenty that area really awesome and laugh at the silly remarks that you make in order to see if you can get them laughing and smiling and, in a way it makes the job a little more rewarding than it would normally be. The ability to be a little more social with customers in my job than in home loans is a massive boon and one that I really appreciate, as it allows the calls to be a little more personalised, even when we are busy.

Being kept busy is a good thing as, whilst it does mean that you’re more tired at the end of the day, you’re also not lagging. Instead you’re always doing something and in always doing something that means that you are kept going and the time seems to flow a little more. I wouldn’t necessarily say that it goes b any faster, as it most certainly does not (especially right now), but I would definitely say that everything seems to become a little more easier than usual.

I’m sitting here and I don’t feel any sense of dread toward going back onto the phones when my lunch ends. That’s a really good thing. I do know that I probably will when I do get back on the phones, but that is another story for another day.

I wonder as to how many more calls I will take when I get back onto the phones. I wonder as to how many more before Christmas, although it is probably pointless to think about. I don’t really know if it is or isn’t, but I still can’t help but wonder.

Probably isn’t that important to think about.

Well, with all of that being said, I probably should get back to relaxing before the call deluge resumes once more. There are customers to service and people to answer with plenty of professional ridiculousness that will keep spirits high and people satisfied.

There are calls to answer!

Something a little less madcap and a little more sensible.

I think there is a good flow for most of this bit of text.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 357: Fight More Fish

So here I am, not there but here, sitting down and looking around to see some sort of countenance that envisions the whole fish that floats in space on the way to the potato factory as it does the dance toward the rainbow extending toward the road on which people in small vehicles race along and occasionally through various items at each other in order to be the best, but so long as the colour orange does not overtake blorange (in this case, that is blue orange), we shall see the dawn of another morning reach toward the end time of the zone, for there are taxes to do and taxis to take and tantalising treats to tackle along the tedious tower that tenuously takes timid turtles to the trees.

Well, I could do that, or not, depending on what view you take, but there is a space that eats the eagle as it glides onward and backward, for there is a light that will never go out, unless it does go out in which case we all say goodnight, for the planets rotate along some sort of circumference and the dancing rain eats that which is not known, colouring the world another shade of hat and the hat does the thing whilst winking at something else and then does not do the thing that which it was going to do.

If there was an elliptical orb that we did not perceive, and yet could only feel on the perception of its being, then I am sure that if we all drank tea and wrote in the rock of the earth, bearing our natural nature for all to see as long as the screen was pointing to the left, then I am sure that there would be more that would happen and yet probably not for the monolith rises to the occasion, guiding us along a path of great justice in order to judge us and act as some sort of network of shoes that can only open up and have hands holding guns in them , cornering our heroes in order to make threats become clear and just, but only if we really know the truth of the matter which is sometimes an asshole is just an asshole.

If I were to count on all my fingers the many ways in which there is no way to get away from the day in the hay so long as I lay in a tray full of pay, then I imagine that there would be many ways to count the tie in the die so long as I lie and cry in the sky as the pie rises to the bake and make the mistake of steak puns coming out of its pastry.

Well, that’s all for now. There may be something else to say today when I lay in the hay.

No. I think that now I will put a stop to all this, so long as I fight more fish.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:40:27

There were times when I was trying to do something, but I think most of this might just be random gibberish.
