Iceberg Near the Beach

A photo of Bondi Icebergs, which is near Bondi Beach, of which some is visible in this photo. Some people consider Icebergs as part of Bondi Beach, and maybe it is, though if you want to get technical about it, geologically it isn’t, but anyway.

This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s Monochrome Madness. This one is hosted by Brian of Bushboys World, he has chosen the theme “On the Beach”.

Participating is pretty straightforward and something I recommend. If you do, then include the tag “monochrome-madness” in your post. If not participating, then at the least check out Leanne’s photography as well as what other people submit.

I hope you enjoy.

Pouring Down Rocks

I think it was last month this photo was taken.

I was doing a short bushwalk with a couple of friends. Had the opportunity to get this photo, so I did. Turned out far better than I expected. Still room for improvement, of course, but overall I’m happy with the result.

I think that, despite how still everything seems here, a sense of motion and flow still comes through quite clearly, and I think the overall darkness in the photo helps to keep focus upon the water.

This is my submission into the three hundred-and-thirteenth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge. The theme for this one is “Cool Colors

The host of the Lens-Artists challenges cycles weekly between the following people:

John is curating this one. The next one is curated by Anne.

I recommend participating in the challenges as they provide a fun way to interpret theme. If not participating, then at least you should still check out what others of the Lens-Artists community are submitting.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 1398: About to Tear

About to tear through a few things, and I do hope that it is indeed a tearing. Being lazy and definitely not being tired, and I’ve done far, far too much of that as of late. Need to get back into shape and need to speed off into the writing horizon. Don’t know if I will get there, but today I will. Today I will get through all of the things and then once I’ve done that, I will get through a bunch of other things, and I’ve said that far too many times at this point. Still, I will keep on trying and I will keep on saying.

I think about the day and how it has been presented to me, or rather how I’ve embraced it and not embraced it, and now it is dark outside and the sunset is at a distance, and it looks a little eerie, but it’s there and I’m here, and I’ll see it again, but hopefully from a more advantageous position next time. Outside this window it looks like I could embrace its eeriness, but from behind this window… not so much.

I struggled to pick a good bit of music to play for my writing of this, and I came to something, but I don’t know if it’s something I want to embrace. Still, it helps to set a certain mood and tone, and that’s what I need at this point in time, really.

Actually what I need is rest, but that’s another story for another time. What I feel I need is far more money than anyone could conceive, and then I’d do things with it.

The weekend draws to a close and I sit here and crap on about things that don’t matter, but I feel inspired to write in a manner that I haven’t in a long time. I’ve come close; I’ve gently grazed the edges, but right now I feel inspired. I feel ready to go. I feel as though there is something that I can write, but what it’s going to come down to is if I can actually sink the time into it, or rather, if I actually do, because I have the time but I need to actually do something with it, and this is one of many things that I can do and write, but it’s something that I feel as though I actually can… if that makes sense. I think it does and I’m just stretching for words now, but I’m getting there. This bit of writing isn’t it, but I am getting there. I’m working on things and things are changing, and I need to keep on going and hope that I get there in the end, or at least make it all happen, or something. You get the idea.

So with that being said, I guess I should get on with the getting on and get the other things done before I go rest and switch off for the day.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 06:11:92

Messy, but alright. Okay. There’s some enthusiasm in here.

Written at home.

Ryota Kozuka: Contact with the Qadištu β

One listen.

With this one I feel the same as the last, though I think I did a better job of getting across an idea of the song. Slightly less overreach.

Ryota Kozuka’s (小塚良太) “Contact with the Qadištu β” (“カディシュトゥとの接触 β”) is from Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK, the soundtrack for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.

I hope you enjoy.

A dampened striking as sounds draw out, curving down and up at their tips, and also going forward. Something starts curling around the structure, and in this dark a menace permeates.

The curling disappears and now keys talk their place whilst another introduced set of sound punctuates the structure’s end. The keys lower and the menace keeps pressing forward and spreading out. It is a foreboding element, and it seems to suggest being unstoppable.

The sounds remain low; they don’t jump out into the exceptional obvious, and they continue on until the final note is reached and the song ends.

Ryota Kozuka: Yuzuru and Tsukuyomi

Two listens.

Just threw myself in, but I feel as though I was overreaching.

Ryota Kozuka’s (小塚良太) “Yuzuru and Tsukuyomi” (“ユヅルとツクヨミ”) is from Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK, the soundtrack for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.

I hope you enjoy.

Seemingly warm, but also cold sounds spread along whilst keys play out delicate notes to step alongside. There’s some calm here, but it’s all eerie. It’s all off, but the peace is there.

Perhaps it’s a peace in the face of an impending situation, or perhaps it’s something more regal and overwhelming being presented to something that is, comparatively insignificant. Perhaps it’s distress giving way to despair.

The sounds seemingly descend into a state of affirmation whilst something a bit more distorted creeps up in the background. They reach a conclusive moment, and the song ends.

Head Back and Down

I think this is part of the cleaning process, but I don’t know.

Just some odd form to capture, but one that interests me. It does look odd, but it’s still the goose.

I hope you enjoy.

Pelican Awaiting Junk

Alright, so don’t feed birds bread.
It’s not good for them. Can lead to some rough health issues.

So here’s a photo of a pelican about to catch a small bit of bread.

Silver Gull Walking

It has been an intense day thus far, so not much here right now.
Until then, here’s a photo of a silver gull walking.

I was trying to do something with the shadow here, but it doesn’t quite work with the particular angle.

I hope you enjoy.
