Woodleys Shipyard
I’m going to get a better shot of this place at some point in the near future. This is a decommissioned shipyard. Had a quick look and it seems as though this happened in 2012. There’s a kind of humbleness … Continue reading

A Bridge for Trains
This is the same bride as seen in this photo. I feel as though I could have done a better job of processing this, but I am mostly satisfied with the result. I feel that in monochrome a lot of … Continue reading

Double Flowering Plum
It appears as though there are a few names for this particular tree. Including the one above, there is also Prunus blireana (or Prunus x blireana), cherry blossom blireana and cherry blossom plum. There are probably more, but I’ve spent … Continue reading
Wooden Angles
A shot of a tree that has had part of it break off. I have a feeling that it likely broke due to heavy wind stress. Have no idea if that’s the case, but I feel as though it is. … Continue reading

One Tree Above the Others
During my recent jaunt through the bush I saw this scene. I tried to capture the tree sticking out among the rest, which I think that (in a most technical sense), I did. However, I really wanted to show its … Continue reading

Overgrowth Around the Sheds
As far as I’m aware, whilst this area remains in use, it is in a diminished capacity compared to how it was a while ago. I think that at some point there were train tracks next to these sheds. They’ve … Continue reading

Wattle
Might be a golden wattle, but not sure. The leaves seem a bit too small to be a golden wattle, but I know very little about plants, so if someone knows what type of wattle this is, then please let … Continue reading

Path into a Jungle
Whilst the area that this path leads into and out of is referred to as a jungle, it’s not quite one… maybe. I don’t quite know. When I took this shot I think I was trying to capture a sense … Continue reading

Trees Fill The Scene
There’s a lookout slightly over two kilometres from where I live. It’s not the biggest nor the greatest lookout, but it does allow for an appreciable view. I feel as though there is a strong sense of distance in this … Continue reading
