There was a bit more space between the trees than this shot implies.
Well, some of the trees anyway.
Maybe this shot is showing the right amount of space and I’m remembering things incorrectly.
Anyway, this is another shot taken during my recent trek out of Sydney.
There’s a warmth to this shot which I think has a lot to do with the fallen foliage.
There’s also a fair bit of cluttering from the bare branches, but the area doesn’t seem uninviting as, despite vegetation filling almost every space of the shot, there still is space.
This is my submission into the ninety-second Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Going Back“. I think this shot counts both for it being a return to a region I was in last year and also for it happening recently rather than right now.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This one is guest-hosted by John Steiner of Journeys with Johnbo. Leya hosts the next one.
I recommend giving the challenges a go and seeing how you interpret each theme. I also recommend checking out what other people are doing to meet the challenges.
I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for joining me in the challenge. I like the moodiness of the image.

Great shot. It zooms nicely, for perspective.

Cheers. I was trying to capture three of the trees in this shot and the way they were angled, so I’m glad that perspective-wise it works.

Harmonying colours indeed.

A reminder of the passing of seasons being firmly entrenched within autumn’s embrace, though at the current moment you’d think we were in spring.

Cheers 🙂
I find tree clusters to be a fun challenge to try and capture well, so I’m glad you like the shot.
