A Poem About Familiar Scenery

This was a really quick and rough “sketch” of sorts.

I like the suggested imagery. Not sure about the words used.

I hope you enjoy.

A dwindling pathway leads out to places known and familiar
Though the scenery has once more changed itself
Reorganised architecture brings forth old memories now new
And so familiarity begets a suggested unknown

In following this path there is an apprehension toward danger
Though that which is felt remains a deception
Whilst belief in the risk of the unknown remains highly weighted
No danger lurks anywhere within the area

The path is followed and more that is known is gradually revealed
Though the order of things remains scrambled
Once more of the unknown is revealed as only familiarity
The scenery shall once more rearrange

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
