Walls, Walls and a Ceiling Above

It’s been a while since I last wrote some poetry.

It is apparent that I have managed to not improve, which might be an achievement.

I think that the imagery is both specific and vague. Maybe.

I think I got a point across. Not sure what exactly, though I have an idea.

I hope you enjoy.

Walls, walls and a ceiling above
For now these are now more common occurrences
The freedom to explore scenery removed of others
Is not as readily available as expected
For caution rules more than ever
And precaution readily follows
And so walls and a ceiling must remain familiar
Until opportunity strikes
For another view to be reached
Though that time may be missed
As even looking might not reveal its visitation
Such is the way focus can blind
For caution must be heeded
And precaution verily so
Most actions require care and certainty
To reduce the chance of impact
If we are to continue moving
Then the walls must remain present
So that we can one day
Chase those views again

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
