One Tree Above the Others
During my recent jaunt through the bush I saw this scene. I tried to capture the tree sticking out among the rest, which I think that (in a most technical sense), I did. However, I really wanted to show its … Continue reading

Out for a Stroll
Here’s a shot of an Ibis walking around looking for something to eat. This photo feels a bit moody to me. Might be the lighting. It’s simple and presents the Ibis’ elegance and grace quite well, I think. This is … Continue reading

Eating Time
This was taken a few days ago whilst walking along The Cooks River. For most of the time this galah was eating very little of its body was visible. It was quite cute. I hope you enjoy.

Loftus Station, Afternoon
This station, but as seen with a little bit more sunlight pouring down onto its existence. I like this photo for its geometric qualities, as well as the sharp contrast between most of the shaded and light areas. It’s a … Continue reading

Approaching Ducks
Behold: ducks. To be more specific, these are both Anas superciliosa (aka pacific black duck). I got really lucky with this photo. I was at a bad angle when I took the shot. This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s TPM photo … Continue reading

Vent
Just a photo of a vent, as well as some small parts of its surroundings. I like how cold and mechanical this looks. It’s just a fairly commonplace thing, but I think here it looks much more… well, not quite … Continue reading

Frame’s gaps
I’m not quite sure what I was aiming for when I took this photo, other than capturing the bridge’s structure at a specific angle. I think I did a good job of showing space. The bridge is not the widest … Continue reading

Open 7 Days
So I was writing about a particular band for the next five-hundred word challenge, but I found that as I was writing about them the discussion of them and their emotional weight would not serve well for that kind of … Continue reading

Sunrise Crane
When I arrived at Hurstville the other morning I had a few minutes to kill, so I went to a rooftop parking area to catch some of the sunrise. I saw this and felt a strong desire to take a … Continue reading

Yellow Clouds
I was stuffing around a fair bit when I was processing this image. Don’t know why I stated the obvious, but there you go. I kept this as it is as, to me, it seems almost like this looks like … Continue reading
