Five-Hundred Word Challenge 328: A Foot in Front of the Other

A foot in front of the other as I am lead to another location at another time in some area far from where I happen to be situated in this current moment.

A foot in front of the other will follow themselves until it is time to stop for a little while before they resume following each other once more.

A relationship that has been going on for far longer than we may have been considering.

A foot in front of the other is something that has been happening for so long that it is difficult to tell if it was something that, when it began to exist as something that would frequently occur, was not possible to improve upon due to its simple, yet efficient nature.

These are things that may be considered and may also never have a definitive answer, although now that I think about it they probably do have a definitive answer.

Well, that did not take long before I lost the desire to keep on writing like someone who has a lofty way of talking and is full of fantasy, or at least some sorts of fantasy.

I should have started writing earlier, when I was still waking up as I imagine that that would have lead to something that sounded at least a little more inspired than this currently does.

Finger after finger, gliding through the air, finding places to touch and yet never remaining, for as soon as the sensation is realised they must lift again, ever flowing through the air that surrounds them, like creatures that may only remain on the earth for a short period of time before they must reach for the sky once more.

Gliding across a black and white landscape, finding each different bit that they can touch before they must once more rise and find something new.

I’m talking about typing here.

Or am I?

IT’S A MYSTERY!

Now I really am beginning to think that writing at the very first moment that I could this morning would have proven to be a much better thing to do than what I am doing right now.

Oh well.
As they say, thems the brakes.

Well, it is a nice day outside and I am almost ready to head out and conquer the world.

There is still one thing that I need to take care of that is quite important before I leave the house to do the things that I need to do in order to be triumphant at getting the day out of the way.

That thing is… watering the plants

No, and so on.

Watering after watering, the plants feel the water as it rains down upon them and reaches for their roots that sit beyond the lower layer of soil, quenching their thirst and desire to keep on growing and surviving whilst also reaching for a sun that they cannot touch.

Watering after watering, the plants are receiving liquids that help them remain thoroughly sustained.

Cows and Trees

A photo of cows… and trees.

I nice, relaxed shot with some shade and hilly regions.

Not too many colours but a few variants of those colours.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 327: Dizzy

This morning I was going to write one of those made up pieces of fiction than I am quite average at writing, but unfortunately it was interrupted by another bout of dizziness which remains a strong reminder that I need to give up coffee once more.

Of course when you’ll be reading this most spelling and grammatical errors will be fixed, but right now there are quite a lot more than usual.

Usually there will be quite a few because of how fast I sometimes write because I haven’t quite gotten good at writing really fast whilst not making many errors.

Right now I’m making quite a few and I don’t believe that I am writing very fast.

It is rather annoying.

My head is spinning and I need it to stop as I need to be able to function a bit closer to something resembling a normal human being and it is not stopping.

I am keeping myself hydrated and it does not seem to work.

I think I may have cursed myself, or something.

Well, only time will tell.

I’m here at university trying to work on assessment and my being dizzy is not helping matters.

Sinking lower into my chair seems to help somewhat, but only just.

It is not making writing any easier than I thought it would.

Still, I must push through.

this is awfully dramatic for something that isn’t too bad, but still, I am in a dramatic mood so drama will continue in the rest of this post.

Oh, woe is me, and so on and so forth.

I must push through.

My soul is being dragged into a black abyss of nothingness that contains more nothingness by this dizziness that keeps on slaying my persons, tossing and turning me about until I am merely helpless and confused beyond all reasonable doubt.

Somehow I will slay this horrible beast of unbridled evil, but it will be a tough battle and one that I will come out of differently to how I entered.

However, what is inevitable is my success, for I will refuse to let it keep me suppressed. I will refuse to back down. I will take it on with uncertainty and courage in my heart. I will go in and give it my all, leading to my success, but I must remember that I have to be persistent and patient, for it will ultimately be time that helps me become successful.

It will not back down.

I will climb the mountain that is ahead of me.

This dizziness will not be able to stand in my way forever as I will not let it.

I will continue on my mission to keep on keeping on and will not relent until the time is right for me to do so.

For now I will continue to wait it out and keep on trying to get things done, but soon will be my time to strike and the drama shall become more dramatic.

This was really hard to write.

Another Kookaburra

As seen on the last multi-day field trip of this semester.

This one did not like the idea of being approached.

As soon as I got my photos I got away from it as quickly as I could.

I think I did an okay job of framing this shot, but I also think that I did a really good job of capturing the expression of the kookaburra.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 326: Work the Job of Job

Here I sit, sitting away at my desk of job working to work the job of job working business to in order to assist with the thing that I do which is work in a form of service for the customers that need the service, hence my work which involves providing customer service to customers in a job that I do and verily so, it is done with just action and questionable question.

Well, that is what I am telling myself right now, for that is indeed what I am doing in an office next to people and they are here to do the work alongside me, in some sort of massive team in a grand meeting of team work and working within a team of individuals coming together in order to provide the best customer service that customers had ever received, therefore making us the best ever at things that are related to customers and services, but not necessarily both at the same time.

Can you tell that I am struggling today?

So here we are, working all together top provide the service to the customers as is our job and our duty of work that we have agreed to do, because someone has to do it and it is a job that is as thankless as it is gratifying when we are not being abused for reasons that are beyond our control, such as customers not paying attention to doing what they are doing and not bothering to read things and therefore following their obligation to not accept responsibility for their actions, because it is always the fault of the company and never the fault of the customer.

But I digress.

We are here and here is where we are, being here and not there, unless we are there relative to here which would still have us here, but from a different point of view because someone might consider it as being here for someone who is not them as here is something that follows us around like a shadow in the day when the sun is not obscured by objects that stand tall, trying to scrape the sky and rake the clouds  yet never able to, for they sit much farther away from these objects that block the sunlight that is meant to shine on the earth and help create some sort of lush paradise for all to see.

Yet the shadow is not visible all the time because buildings block the way, so perhaps we are not always chased by our shadows which refuse to allow us to get away from them. Perhaps we are engulfed by other shadows when we choose to deny the sun and its glorious, bright body that shines down upon us tiny beings of little importance to many things, yet we continue to insert ourselves into the lives of many, creating links and bonds that can take a lot to break unless those bonds are fragile.

Fragile bonds can break easily.

I really struggled writing this but I am still happy with how it came out.

It’s really bad but it messily plays with language and I like that.

Coastal Cliff at Myrtle Beach

Another photo taken at Myrtle Beach.

I think that the colour  is really good in this photo, being balanced really well.

I think that the detail of the area comes through quite well and that the clouds allow for a nice contrast.

I like that the vegetation seems to be about to fall over the side of the cliff close by and appears to have done so in the background.

I also like the smooth appearance of the sand contrasting with the small waves.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 325: The Weather is Treacherous

Yesterday I was carrying my camera all day. It was raining but I had my camera and my tripod with me as I was hoping for a glorious sunset.

The weather report, something that I checked twice in the morning said that it was going to stop raining in the evening and clear up a little bit which is what inspired me to take my gear along.

I was going to find somewhere nice to sit whilst taking photos and watch a really nice sunset.

Well, to be fair, most sunsets are really nice to see, casting a beautiful light across the land as the sun sinks below the line of the horizon, giving us a beautiful display to herald the coming of the night, a cooler time of the day which is no less full of beauty and wonder than the day can be if we allow it to be full of beauty and wonder.

Anyway…

I was carrying my equipment. I had other stuff to take with me as it was a university day and it was not fun carrying all the stuff I had, but that was the consequence of choosing to take my stuff with me.

By the time it had stopped raining, it was night.

It was also still quite overcast.

Now, as one can imagine, I found that to be rather annoying. I wanted to get a good sunset and all the day would do is rain.

Of course I did not have to water my plants which is something that I consider to be quite advantageous, but I also wanted my sunset and quite frankly, because the weather did not obey the weather report, I am quite angry.

It had every single obligation to follow what was predicted. It is not right at all that t he weather did not obey what was set out. This is an outrage and everyone should be up in arms about this great treachery. Completely unfair, I tell you.

How would the weather like it if I went out there and started yelling at it, calling it names and then the next minute telling it that it is the best thing to have ever been in all of existence?

It would not. It would be confused and quite possibly agitated by this strange act of confusion and deception.

Therefore, the weather should be far more obedient than it was yesterday, because I did not get what I wanted and my outrage is completely justified, no matter what people say to me about my outrage.

So I carried my camera and tripod all day yesterday and it kind of sucked, but that’s the way these things go sometimes.

Of course I have them again today. The weather is quite nice so perhaps I will get the sunset that I wanted today.

Perhaps not. I still aim to get a few good pictures.

Well, a few pictures that hopefully will be good.

Only time will tell.

Or will it?

I ran out of stuff to say, hence the dramatic whinge.

Soft Sunset at the Fish Market

I had my camera with me whilst I was heading home on Tuesday.

I was on my bike for the first time in almost two months and therefore was sweating a fair bit.

When I reached the Fish Market I stopped so I could get a few photos of the sunset.

I wish I had my tripod.

Oh well.

A dramatic photo with a lot of detail, boats and ANZAC Bridge sitting nicely in the background somewhere.

The transition of light in this photo is fairly smooth and the reflection on the water contrasts well with its suggestion of what objects are.

I hope you enjoy.

Five-Hundred Word Challenge 324: Another Long Sentence

The rain has finally come and gone and it means that I do not have to water my plants today, which makes me happy as I did not get enough sleep last night and did not feel like watering my plants despite their need for water and nutrients in order to keep on growing in order to become big and beautiful and, in some case, produce goods for me to consume which will in turn help keep me sustained and going on into the path that is whatever lies ahead as it is a path that I need to traverse in order to keep on going toward something that resembles and tastes like the future of the destiny that I want to conquer with my hands, bare in the night and naked in the dark for I am merely a man who has many faults and is trying to overcome them by never looking back and moving forward with the determination required to continue on continuing on so that I can be a better person with every passing day and keep on working toward completing my dreams and desires as there are many that must be seen to completion one day at a time all the time so that is something that I must keep on going through, but sometimes I get scared and sometimes I get overwhelmed as it always feels like I am doing so much, yet I do not do much at all, especially when compared to many others out there so I don’t have much to really feel overwhelmed by, although I guess we do feel a little overwhelmed sometimes which is why we need to take a break on the occasion, but not so many breaks so that you end up feeling overwhelmed straight away anyway, therefore defeating the purpose of taking the break anyway so you might as well make sure that you’re not taking too many breaks unless you want to be stressed all the time as well as lazy because there is so much to do and whilst you do need the occasional break you also need to make sure that you are always doing something with your life for we are all alive for only so long and even the smallest thing that we can contribute to the world that may leave it in a better place, or the experiences that we accumulate can help shape who we are as well as the future generations that are yet to occur which is a reason as to why we should all be working toward our goals and desires so long as we are not causing others to suffer, or at least reducing the amount of suffering as much as we can so that there is more gain than loss and also so that you can drink that glass of orange juice in your chair by the fire with the smug satisfaction that is earned on a moonless night of rampant, joyous nudity.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 06:25:21

Yes.

Got stuck on a small loop, pulled out of it and reigned the whole thing in, bringing it right on home at the end.

go me.

Mouth of Moona Moona Creek

Here we can see the mouth of a creek affected by wind whilst a small, long wave is crashing as clouds float along during the “Glow” of golden hour.

There’s a nice ripple on the water in this shot and I think that it looks quite calm.

Well, I was there so I should probably know if it was calm or not.

It was fairly calm.

This is my submission into The Daily Post‘s photo challenge for the week.

I hope you enjoy.
